If t comes down to prioritising, accidental Weapon Breakage isn't in the Base PNP rules, IIRC, whereas different movement speeds are.MShady wrote:We can maybe include this, but if weapon breakage isn't a high enough priority to include in the base mod at release, I do not see this of a level.

Not to mention Weapon Breakage being a real PITA, as well as unrealistic (if you´re talking about the random "now it´s fine" and "oops, now it broke in half just randomly, time to go glue it back together".
Talk about Weapon Deterioration if anything, breakage is asinine (yes, I do know weapons break in combat, still)

This is a horrible idea.
Much of what allows a short PC to escape in PNP is not possible in NWN2.
As a halfling, I could have my PC duck into a small hole in the wall, crawl under some brambles a larger creature would get hung up on, corner quicker due to smaller mass, get lost in a crowd of taller people, or get carried by the party's half orc barbarian with a 20 strength when we are running away.
In NWN2... you can run.
I'm sorry... but unless you can change the engine to allow me to use all of the above advantages to escape combat, don't throw a limitation as damaging as reduced speed on my PC. Why does all the garbage people try to add for "realism" or "cannon" end up taking things away from certain types PC's? How about ADDING some stuff that isn't there instead... like less weighty equipment for short races or reducing the space in game taken up by short avatars so that there are spaces a halfling can get to that others cannot?
That's too hard? Fine, but don't nerf my favorite race without giving the benefits.
