Well my opinion on this rests upon the ongoing gaming.
How much are you charging for a Morninglord Breakfast these days.......or a Heir's Bald Gate. If you're doing those for anything close to a Thayan Facial or a Pirate Aisle, then you really have fallen to the dock ward...........

Um yeah...really enjoyed that movie....HDB.

I always assumed my inventory screen was my backpack....
In fact you kind of have to given the amount of space various unstackable items take up. A CLW potion could be a 1 oz vial, but you can only fit four of them in a backpack. Seems rather silly to be requiring everything to be in a bag when things that you should be able to fit a couple hundred of in a bag take up as much space as a helmet, each.
Armor tends to include gauntlets and boots, and a belt. In fact, wearing some magic leather boots on your feet and magic leather gloves on your hands instead of the heavy armor components should reduce your armor class, if you really want to get realistic.
But, you shouldn't be able to carry five suits of armor and still walk, run and fight normally, no matter how strong you are. It's a pickle, and not worth fussing over now in NWN1.

The most important thing in my mind is getting pricing set at a standard across servers. A run-of-the-mill backpack should not cost 1sp on BG and 25gp in SD (ok, it shouldn't cost 25gp anywhere). Faerun's economy is quite clearly spelled out in the FRCS, and I can't really see a reason to deviate from that.
A certain drow merchant PC is a good example (in gameplay format) of why we need to all be on the same page in terms of economy. This PC's player of course doesn't abuse this little quirk of ALFA, but we may not always be so lucky.
If builders are willing to add variable tags to items to indicate its price is in silver or copper pieces, then we do something. Or if people are will to just multiply all gold by 100x, we could do something as well. Otherwise, having cp and sp items cost between 0 and 1 gp is fine with me.
