Re: DM props

Just to chip in and agree with DarkMystic - had a great time yesterday. And still in one piece so all good :D It did remind me of why I loved the old ALFA so much and it looks like, besides getting used to the NWN2 engine, ALFA 2 is a chip off the old block :) Sargiel/Melchom Current PC: Malark Dark...

Re: Apple's for NWN2?

If you already have the PC version of NWN2 & the expansions the easiest solution is to install the PC version on your Apple laptop via Cross Over Games in Mac OS X or, if you will be installing Windows, to use bootcamp and install natively. While there is a Mac native port of NWN 2 released by A...

Re: MAC Users Please Read This

I know it's been a while but just to advise that the Mac client for NWN2 is currently at 1.23 and people have been reporting success at installing the PC versions of the expansions. I currently have MotB and SoZ on order so will be giving this a try to see if it's possible for me to rejoin ALFA in M...

Re: Possiblities for villians?

There are always 'evil' player groups in ALFA which give scope for nefarious dealings. And characters aren't always how they first appear ;) Dealing with true drow would probably best be facilitated on Cormanthor when it goes live - perhaps as a convert to the Masked Lord associated with the Auzkovy...

Re: MAC Users Please Read This

Unfortunately that's not an easy a question as it should be (and it's an old question now as I don't often check on here :D ) Aspyr ported NWN 2 to OS X so there is a native port of the core game. However the current version on the mac is woefully lagging behind the PC being still on 1.12. Aspyr are...

Re: Why did you choose that tag?

Truly the only difference is in the personal justification & how it's perceived through relative morality. The end result remains the same.

Didn't know you were still floating around the forums Joos! :)

Re: Why did you choose that tag?

I've got a wonderful book - Dictionary of Angels which is full of great names. So quite a few years ago I flicked through and Sargiel caught my eye, more for the name than the meaning; "an angel who fills Hell with the souls of the wicked." Uh, oh  ...I know one faction that may make...

Re: Existing Account/inactive user email

Thanks :)

That's good news. I'll have a bit of a wait before I can get my RP fix - but at least I'll have plenty of time to write up my first few character bio's ;)

I'll be looking to return to ALFA once the Mac version has been patched to 1.23 (no doubt ALFA will be running on 1.23 by the time that happens..) and I have the expansions installed. However I'm a bit confused in terms of knowing whether I need to reapply. When I login on the website I can access t...

Re: MAC Users Please Read This

Just to advise that work is progressing on bringing the Mac client up to date and Aspyr will be releasing 1.23. Once we're up to date in terms of patch compatibility they will be producing a second performance patch to make use of various improvements to Mac OS X since the original port. Also note t...

I think it's a good idea. It's been a long time since I was actively playing in ALFA but I've been keeping an occasional weather-eye on the progress here and will be sure to dip my toes again once servers are going live (and my copy of NWN 2 arrives in the post). I don't think it would be misconstru...
