Re: Proposal for Xp awards for Bios, please give your though
Promoting rp of any kind by rewarding xp isn't a bad idea at all. But I feel that handing out a static amount of xp for a bio isn't as effective as using the contents of the bio as both a source of inspiration and plothooks, and would gladly see something along the lines of t-ice reasoning. A dynami...

Re: Proposal for Xp awards for Bios, please give your though
+1 to t-ice I don't see the great benefit in providing more static xp by providing a bio. But I do see that an easily managed and scrutinized bio/snippet/plothook form both enhancing immersion and the overall experience for players and DMs alike. Adventures and plots that actually pull on the imagin...

Re: Proposal for Xp awards for Bios, please give your though
My own experiences align with Rumples. It takes several sessions of rp to flesh out the characters tweaks and thoughts before a bio seem plausible to write. At least for me. The Bio itself serves as a finalizing act for me to settle the characters personality and some descriptions of what made him/h...

Re: ACR v1.90 Released
+1 to wild wombats post A scolded thank you to all of you. Administrative parts of ALFA, you improve and tweak a game to new hights. And players, you are the base of all that makes alfa what it is. Thank you to you all. I'll try to post something more detailed when I've had time to explore the new f...

Re: Changing the -6 Safety Net
The whack a mole effect is something I haven't seen that much of. If a character is brought down by enemies and lands along the safety net and another character spends a lesser vigor (which actually hasn't stopped the bleeding most times that I've used it) or a Cure Light Wounds then the combating e...

Re: More adventure!
My recipe of how to add adventure to the much debated trickle of rpxp would be to use cooperation. Plots could be shared by several DMs that cooperate as players flock to the cause and adventure, I've witnessed several of these occasions during my time in ALFA and most of them have gone better than ...

Re: Dm Abscenes: Be Aware (we still care)
A big thank you.
You and the other DMs of MS have given me more adventures and RP than I've more or less seen in ALFA earlier on. So thank you to all of you.

Re: A good server for a Noob Dwarf?
It depends. I think that most Dwarven characters tend to be created along The Silver Marches(TSM), but I would recommend either Baldurs Gate(BG) or MoonShaes(MS) for now as they have the greatest spread of players and quite active servers in general. MS Dms might be somewhat worn out after the festi...

Re: DM and Player Props
A truly horrid and fantastic tale was played out by the grace of Ith, storm and Zelk. The massive response from players and the dedication by the mentioned dms got us through so much fighting, so much horror and resulted in fantastic freedom. Truly a big and hearty thanks for the story and its course.

An open commentary for: Open comment period, proposed changes to ALFA's CvC policy Is hardly a playground for personal grievances, be sure to note that there are several parts of the administration that can be helpful if there are needs and that most ALFAns (in my experience) are open for discussion...

Re: Kidnapped! Part 2 (and 3!)
As far as I know there are several people thinking along the lines of helping our unfortunate group. And they can be reached in-game among the friends and allies of the Pies and Pennnies or one can ask Ithildur about character specific thoughts along the topic.
