Re: Rewarding DMs
I would like to point out, that giving DMs tangible rewards for DMing might prompt people to become DMs for the wrong reasons , in order to get the same kind of rewards. Whatever it may be. If you want to thank a DM, thank them, like many people have said. When I used to DM, having people actually t...

Re: The Old Order
If Old Order follows Ao, as suggested, then they're not Faithless in the manner of other faithless and don't necessarily denounce Gods. They'll still end up in the wall since Ao ignores them, but it changes the perspective of things a bit. There's nothing that says the Old Order rejects the other Go...

Re: The Old Order
Partly correct...a Preist of Ao would be a...complete waist. FRCS - Page 258 - "He answer's no mortal prayers, grants no spells to mortals, and has not been heard from since the end of the Godswar". Essectially, there are no clerics of Ao, because he doesn't grant prayers, so the healbot ...

Those must be really nice lutes. Isn't that more than a typical commoner makes in a year?Inwintersshadow wrote:*sighs* yes thank you sir, once I've hocked everything I own I'll be more than happy to be told I haven't the 411 gold to buy a lute. drum, or harp.

Re: Hello ALFA!
Rather than create new threads, I'll just ask here:
If I'm not happy with my current character, how can I "retire" her? Can I just roll another?
Just unsure how the "one character" rule is enforced.

Re: The Old Order
On a tenuously related note, is there a monk order for Ao? I think it's IMPLIED the old Order might follow Ao...which is pointless, as he doesn't get involved in mortal affairs. This is the only blurb I can find on Old Order: Monks of the Old Order do not worship any deity, but are devoted to the p...

Re: The Old Order
Ah, I think I misinterpreted Old Order monks. I didn't realize that they were taking a philosophical stance AGAINST the Gods. That...seems a bit silly of them, considering what happens to Faithless. Dare I say, it seems unwise of them. ;) Back to the drawing board on monk orders. Pity, I really like...

The Old Order
Looking for more info on monks of the Old Order in FR. I like what little of them I can find, but having more would be helpful in coming up with a more detailed character history. From what I understand, they do not follow a specific God, merely a sort of Daoist philosophy. My plan was to have an Ol...

Re: Circle Kick and Toughness
I know this is a really old thread, but I can't see the "Standards" forum.
Is Circle Kick still disabled? It's not a big deal if so, but I really like that feat.

Re: Level 1 Start - The Poll
I know I'm new here, but... The primary argument for being level 2 at start seems to be is that DnD characters have too little HP at level one, and can be killed by a stiff breeze. I agree with that! Why not treat that specific symptom? Let all new characters start with a "Traveler's Amulet&quo...
