Re: Splitting servers into multiple mods
Is there any statistical function to NWN2? Is it possible to take a months data from the servers and show (for example) the total number if IG hours, or PC's per hour, per area of the module? Would be really useful determing the application of the above portal process. I had a tracking function tha...

Re: Small Building Job
Why don't you send me your concept. I've got to get things installed and found and etc to get the tool-set working and all of the ALPHA stuff downloaded. Won't be able to start for a week. Daughter is graduating college Friday and the wife and I are heading off to Disneyland for a week after that to...

Elaine Cunningham
As far as the authoring goes, I believe they also review for accurate FR content. From what I've heard, they are trying to back off FR so that they can focus on the crap world of Eberron.

Re: Future proposals?
Always a fan of seeing new places! However, your links seem to lead to a sort of PW project of its own, complete with its own ruleset, etcetera. Could you elaborate a little? Way back when, the Vastian Coast was starting up, it was a project of its own, the rules based on my experiences. Now with m...

Re: Future proposals?
Well, time to get my foot in the door. I'm moving to the point where I can help out with existing servers and code. But high in my thoughts is my desire to build the Vastian Coast. I'm trying to finish the proposal. Mainly the vendors are left. When I was doing it earlier, I built the following web ...

Re: Making Dungeons Persistent
Hail Teric, An interesting approach. I see some great things here! I hope I can make this clear. When I thought of persistence, I thought of keeping a state over a restart, but in a repetitive way. Door locks, door is unlocked. But I think I understand what you are looking for. Say in an area there ...

Re: Making Dungeons Persistent
I've got a system I wrote that handles making quests persistant. I'd been working on functions that would make scripts and variables persistant as well. It should be able to handle this without too many issues. For example: A door is to remain unlocked for 2 hours. The setting is applied as persista...

Re: Beware Crucial Memory USB Jump Drives
It's the time by far. I got my money back along with a limp apology. I do hate people who write viruses and malware. I can't think of an evil enough curse to apply to them.

Beware Crucial Memory USB Jump Drives
Last Thursday, I bought a Crucial 4mb Memory USB Jump Drive to replace a missing drive. I started using it Saturday and as soon as I plugged it in I was hit by a huge influx of viri and malware. After a number of hours, the mess was cleaned up other than the fact that I could not connect to web site...

Re: What Does Permadeath Cost Us
I don't want to join up and start trying to change things. My apologies if that has been the appearance.
I'm here to stay with everything just as it is or change or no change. I am just looking for ways that I can make the most contribution.

Re: What Does Permadeath Cost Us
I’m of two minds about the permadeath we have in ALFA. Until players reach a relative high level, the spells that can bring them back from the death are in reality not available. As AcadiusLost put it; Raise Dead / Resurrection are allowed in ALFA, are limited to non-Faithless PCs (have specified a ...
