there's already replacements for most of what nwn does via programs and websites like maptool and roll20.net. no 3D graphics or big empty persistent worlds to wander around and deliver mail in, but in turn you don't have to deal with the cumbersome nwn2 engine and can include all the stuff from PnP ...

gamersgate has it. I think there was some D&D licensing dispute with Atari which is why it's not on Steam anymore.

I wonder if that is a music file primarily available on BG, down for server upgrade. May be a way to get across a bmu file like that manually for dropping in right folder? The allowance of multiple characters per player (something that seems to be in the works) is a step in the right direction. Playing a level 1 character when everyone else is leaps and bounds ahead of you in terms of experience and equipment is Not Fun and was the main reason I gave up the last time ...

I don't know much about the new mechanics yet, but the stuff they've released about 4.0 Forgotten Realms seems pretty contrived so far. Helm is killed by Tyr for some reason and Cyric ends up murdering Mystra, which causes a major cataclysm and conveniently gets rid of a bunch of lesser deities. Sho...
