Returning to Game

Hey all, I plan on returning to playing in the next couple of weeks once I get a few RL projects out of the way. What has been going on in BG? I'm kind of curious what some of the major players/plots are right now so I can have a somewhat informed decision on making a new character (last I left was ...

Roll Cyric to see how fast you die...

(don't mean to troll, been meaning to get back to playing IG, but have had some computer issues with the game).

Returning Player

Hey guys, returning player here wondering what is going on in-game right now (at least non-spoiler stuff or common knowledge). I played on the BG server whenever it went live with an old man named Lorick Nefzen if any of you guys remember me (the "Sage of Unsung Sagas"). I was only on for ...

Re: DB Lag?

No idea, I would guess an internal game mechanic as the same happens in the single player campaign, at least it does to me.

Nope for sorcerer's and bard's there is no widget, just resting, unfortunately.

*The Herbalist does not buy phosphorescent moss, though it hsould be worth 3g/3xp. She doesn't want it. pmoss is for another repeatable quest, not herbs. *The Giant Spiders in the cave by the waterfall south of BG down the Trade Way do not give any xp even though the doom bugs and spiders give 1. No...

Writing in-game?

I've been away for awhile, but last I played, this was not in-game, though I believe there was talk of it being worked on. But how do you all think we would benefit from having an in-game writing system (aka, buying parchment/quill/etc. and being able to write out books, letters, whatever)? I'm curi...

Well, right now Lornick is spending his nights in the Blushing Mermaid, but that can change quickly, especially if he can ever get back into that confounded library to regain his shoes!

Aging and it's effects

Hey all, been gone for awhile (had a mobo fry and wasn't able to replace it until recently). Anyway, I was just curious if there was any thought to implementing aging effects on PCs. No need that I see to have this done in any coding if somehow a DM could simply "buff" the person correctly...

Re: Favored classes and multiclassing.

Well, I'm not trying to argue it should be implemented into ALFA right now, I do believe there is a feat (that requires a set number of levels, and other requirements) that simulates that Loremaster Secret. It, to me, anyway, is different from skill focus, but I understand the argument that skill fo...

Re: Favored classes and multiclassing.

that is something like "burn a feat get +4 ranks in skill X". That, I believe would be more appropriate. You can rejoice! We have this option, its called skill focus. You can get it for any skill you want, if you feel like burning multiple feats, you can get this for as many skills as you...
