NC?
I've never been in charge of any kind of con, and I won't even be able to help with this one. I can't even offer my house, though next year it would be a very good place. I hope some person or persons from NC will volunteer to do the local scouting and arranging necessary to have it here, so I can a...

Travel plans changed
I don't think I can make it to Maryland even if there's a ren faire there. I may not be able to travel at all. For the same reason, I can't help with local planning if we have it in my area - Triangle Area near Raleigh, NC. I don't have anything else on that weekend and will come if I can travel. Be...

I wish you were from Perth
Where are you from? I notice that Sydney is GMT+11 right now because of Daylight Savings. If you're GMT+10 and I'm GMT-5, then your 20:00 is my 5 am, which is a bit early. GMT+11 is even worse. I'm usually up by my 6 am and I prefer to play on weekday mornings. Is anybody from Perth? One of my favor...

I talked to the man.
I said, "Indio, I'd also like to help out before we go live. I'm not hopeless as a builder and scripter. Are there other 'before we go live' jobs I might be suited for? My interest is in game design, so I'm almost more interested in before than after." He said, "Wow. Now I get it.&quo...

Decision
I will DM in Silverymoon if possible, otherwise play there. I will build anywhere except Silverymoon and wherever I play. I don't know where I'll play because I only know Silverymoon. Can you folks help me be more specific? I assure you of my genuine interest! I'd like to talk more by PM about how I...

This is the place, but am I the person?
I have a unique underinformed collection of skills and talents to offer. I'm not sure where I'd best fit in. This is where I want to do my kind of play, which leans toward the game design end of things. At this point I haven't much experience at anything but have tried DMing, teaching, building, scr...

Welcome!
Thanks for sharing that. I think I have more fun reading the library and sometimes writing in response to it than I do in game. I welcome another writer. Lines I liked - 'Late autumn is stalking winter.' 'My stomach lurches.' I steal for many reasons, most of them selfish.' 'No act of kindness is to...

Long, lonely, loathsome tale
I love it! Does it have a tune? Of course I sang it, with each verse ending unresolved (on sol) until the last. The tune turned ugly and harsh for the curse at the end, soft on the last verse, though. Oh, how I miss you!

A reply
I first noticed Conformity when I was five years old. She said I couldn't play with toy cars. The rules have changed, but Conformity hasn't. I've longed to take her up on her offer, but somehow, I never do. Hers is not the only offer I've turned down. Here is my reply to her verse. Hello, my name is...

A Bard Who Follows Heroes - Risa Bardsdottir
I have a song that I wish to sing, a song that refers to a dead hero of Tervale that I met only twice, once under the circumstances I am about to relate. Would that I could tell more of his heroism on that occasion. I sing this song in tribute to his memory, and to honor all unsung heroes. *strums a...

A Forgotten Father - Risa Bardsdottir
Elm is absolutely wrong. Her father, Julian Terise, is not my father. Elm has never seen me or my mother, or she would know that my far Eastern features did not come from her father. Julian laughed when he heard of that conclusion. I just met him again. He and Willow are really roaming around these ...

Risa loves it!
That is a tale for a bard. Torontu wanders a desolate plain, sees beauty, chooses a purpose - to see! Risa Bardsdottir only wonders why it took him so long to catch on. She traveled a lot growing up, with her mother and various fathers, and kept pulling them off the road to investigate something or ...
