Re: Battles?
The thing can lift and throw vastly more than his physical size would indicate, wheras the Golem is limited to its base strength.
Thing could just grab the golem and lob it miles away.

Re: Battles?
Based on those M&M stats vs D&D stats, Ben can just pick up something weighing a thousand tons and toss it on top of the stone golem. Fight over.

Re: The pool of the radiance
I had "Curse of the Azure Bonds" for the apple mac. Fun game. The final battle was Tyranthraxes (iirc) and about 20 each of high level drow wizards, clerics, and fighters. Hideously tough fight, especially as the big T was immune to most spells. Having beaten the game once, I was replaying...
Re: Battles?
Elminster, he slept with Mystra, went to hell, is over 1000 years old, and Gandalf already died. Correction: Elmister, because his player is slpeeing with the DM and thus gets twinked/rescued whenever his own stupidity/arrogance gets him into more trouble than he can handle. At least, that's what r...

Re: Alignment Shifts and You
Point still stands, though, whether it be "qualifiers" or "motivators". The act performed under certain circumstances will always be of the same alignment under those circumstances . So in that respect, its black and white. But since no comprehensive list of acts complete with ci...

Re: Alignment Shifts and You
If killing that animal is evil, then killing it for any reason is evil. I don't think it applies to puppies though. Nor humans. I can accept that certain actions are written down in a big sacred book as being always evil or always good, IF the writings include the motivational factors. Sa...

Re: Alignment Shifts and You
:soap: I disagree with all statements even mentioning the words "intent", "motivation" or "belief". D&D has a very clear and simple alignment system, based on moral absolutism and moral universalism. If killing a puppy is evil, it is evil under all circumstances an...

Congrats Heegs, you'll have to give me some tips, we are due in 8 weeks. Protip - vaseline. Before your newborn is wrapped up in his/her first ever nappy, smear a little vaseline over his/her bottom. That first greenish-blackish poo sticks like tar, and a little coating of vaseline will make cleani...
