Non denominational monks
Is it alfa canon that monks come from founded orders? Or can a player use the monk class for a pc that is single mindedly dedicated to whatever it is that player so chooses? reason being I'm thinking of a using the monk class as my starting point for a swordsmen type of pc aiming at WM, he isn't ded...

Wiki thesk and you get alot of stuff, I played a character from there kinda a wana be sammy, IMO a monk fighter is the best combo for a sam, they get nerf'd though because you can't wield a bastard sword/katana in two hands but i just used a GS. I got sick of see'n the koza's in plate armour because...

One AoOp per round, unless you have combat reflexes, then you get extra ones according to your dex bonus. Even then if in FP you would get two max becaues armour limits dex bonus. So kill the one first attacked, then two others that leaves seven others that can attempt a grapple on him. Since you've...

Being able to pause or not would not alter the confidence of a midlevel fighter to take on 10 bog-standard orcs, either silently, thru quickslotted emotes, or by simply targetting a likely orc then starting an essay in the Talk or Party channel... letting plain slugging away, cleaving, auto-attacki...

I understand and appreciate that not everyone would enjoy playing in this style, and am not advicating that ALFA wide combat policy should be changed, I'm simply saying that if time stop is capable of accomplishing a localized pause then I believe it should be explored as a tool availible to DMs. Th...

When I think of making combat Rp i don't really mean Emotes... I mean more of a tactical PNP style of combat over the click fest ping wars we have now. Example. A small party is faced with a single foe that could overwhelm them say a much higher level caster. As is now the fighter can try to get in ...

I don't see why more mobs have to be spawned, or understand why PC's on Alfa have to be subject to more combat than in PNP. The fact that the mobs have lower xp rewards I understand, but I don't see why A Dm run encounter shouldn't give equal XP to a session in PNP. I'm not a DM and don't know polic...

I don't see why its one or the other, some people have a concept and make there char according to it. Others want to take the risk of rolling, or want to make a concept from what they get to simulate the randomness of reality then having both acomidates to both types of players. Abuse of this wouldn...

I don't see your point here. Clerics and mages are supposed to buff up before fighting if they can. If they don't they are dumb. Thiefs and fighters don't have access to spells, but that doesn't stop them from having potions. I played a fighter before and I made sure he was properly equiped before ...
