Re: 4th edition - now what do I do?
I'll look into it. I have heard of it favorably from others. I won't bother to review it here.

Re: 4th edition - now what do I do?
Well, sort of.... There are rulesets, and there are rulesets, as it turns out. As a function of taste and style, some rulesets will be more practical, functional, more fun, less for, or... more likely to make you puke your guts out in a blinding rage of venom. Purely as a function of taste, of cours...

Re: 4th edition - now what do I do?
I.A creative intelligent and dedicated DM can add all this at any point and in any system he chooses.. / My Two cents regardless of "edition" I totally concur. My only concern is just "advertising" really, recruiting a group from the local college kids. My god, I sound like I'm ...

Re: 4th edition - now what do I do?
Oh sorry, fine fine, I'm only getting about 3 hours sleep a day due to the meds. That's no REM sleep for a month, BTW....
No excuse, just saying.
And I *am* interested in any insights on how the game would play under those parameters. Yours and anyone else's.

Re: 4th edition - now what do I do?
The reason classic campaigns in the old days could run for 15 years and be fun and not become cumbersome in AD&D is because the level curve was so steep, and many of us didn't want to level..... My last AD&D campaign, which ran for 8 years, ended at Level... wait for it.... 10th overall. 10t...

Re: 4th edition - now what do I do?
I've lately considered starting a PnP campaign myself. PnP is much easier than having to build/DM for in NWN. I think I'll just be a player in NWN at NWC and PW's, and do my DM'ing in PnP. I live in a college town, well right next to Cal Poly. It's full of engineering nerds. I should have no problem...

Re: Looking for to make a gift for my wife
I have my artist now, thanks!
FYI, a private, commissioned work, that is *never* released falls under the category of "the world will never know."

Otherwise I probably just get a really nice map of Ireland from a guy I know who owns a gallery in LA.

Looking for to make a gift for my wife
I am trying to get a custom map for a wall print, as a birthday present for my wife. A paid commission for an artist. :D This is want I want: The Moonshaes Isles, Third Edition. Big, high fantasy contemporary, emerald green. Like 6x8 for our spiral staircase. Secondly, if possible, I would like to a...

Only read this if you know me
This is a big one. I really wasn’t going to say anything, except to Rotku who was in my NWC X-COM campaign, but the fact of the matter is I’ve spent a lot of time here in ALFA over the years and have grown to admire and appreciate this community a great deal. In fact, I desperately miss playing in A...

Starcraft v. Warcraft.
Or Space Marines v. Furries, I suppose. Good movie though.

Re: Uh Oh Atari
It's going to be "lawyers" until that litigation gets resolved some years from now. The D&D digital license just got shelved. Not that anything interesting was in the pipeline anyway, just another MMO.
Re: XCOM
I now have 7 confirmed players and one pending, so if you're interested let me know right away.
I have the same name, Mulu, at NWC.

Re: XCOM
It's starting in two weeks; it is both RP and tactical. And it's a freaking miracle I decided to look at these forums within one month of you asking, much less a day. I'm just a lurker here now. :D I have 5 confirmed players, and I'm willing to go to 8. Send me a PM here or at NWC if you would like ...
