Adanu's DM scheduling

Post by Adanu »

I got a DM wand. It's all shiny and stuff. More importantly, it's on Western Heartlands, and I'm using it to start a campaign (or two). This will be a general campaign, with intrigue and combat.

You want in? Here's what I need from you. I will be doing two sessions a week, and possibly more depending on a couple things. The first will be a low level 'main' campaign. This means roughly level 1-5 to start. I want this -ideally- to be a balanced party that can work together well enough to not screw each other overtly and with CvC. Drama and the like? Well and good. I have PCs already interested in this, so if you want to be sure you mesh with the rest, send me a PM asking for what the group needs. If you want a PC to be included in this group, PM. If you're one of the people I've talked to about this already, goodie.

I would prefer this group mainly stick with my campaign, but I'm fine with you going off elsewhere, long as you consider this your priority with this PC. We would be going around the block with this group almost certainly, and if you send me a bio, or bullet points in PM at least, I will make an effort to work it into the story if possible or relevant. If you do not, you're along for the ride with whatever motivation you will.

This group can be good, neutral, or evil as you wish... but needs to be able to work with others in a mutually beneficial group at least. Anything else will be discussed in PM.

Interested? Use http://whenisgood.net/DMageAdanu that and tell me your times, along with a PM of the PC you want to use.

The other session will be ad hoc for all levels, and tailored to who comes. I'll be working on this later, and posting about it here when I'm comfortable. Don't poke me about it until I do.

My style is simple: if you can do it in PnP, you can do it here with pausing and rolls. Within reason. Spellcasters, you want to position a spell strategically and need time to think or position stuff? Ask me for a pause. You want to use climb roll and rope to get into that estate? All for it. I can and will use pause liberally for my purposes. If this bothers you and you prefer more real time? Plenty of other DMs for that, have fun. This game is turn based, and the AI can be very unintelligent.

I will only pull punches when it's obvious a party is not equipped for it... but at the same time, if you do something obviously stupid, I will not give you leeway. Want to assault that orc tribe? Say hello to dozens of defenders. Good luck with that.

Any questions? Post here.

OK- I'm game for fun!

Currently playing a roughly non-evil type, pretty easy to get along with all but the most unsavory types.

Adanu- I clicked on a time block for next monday night, but not sure if I did it right. The bottom line is that mrs_dergon is out of town on business Mon, Tues, Wed next week leaving me wide open for potential fun!

If any of those evenings sound good to you, I can make it work.

I'll not be starting this until I have a group for it, but I'll hop in when I can for the xp, sure.

For all interested, please use my scheduling tool in the OP. It's much easier than simply giving me times over PM, since I am NOT doing conversions for timezone with all the times that would entail. It does it for me, and will be easier on everyones sanity as such.

You have to select your times, give your name and a note at the bottom right, and send response.

It does adjust for timezone as well. Hence the top bit with the down down menu.

I have a 'prologue' mini campaign going with ad hoc sessions. After wrapup with current 'party' I'll be looking to continue this tomorrow (saturday my time) at 10PM EST. Anyone who wishes for some decent DMing, I'll be trying to get online at this time for a 2-3 hour session. I'm battling insomnia for this for this one so I may not make it... but this is the current 'goalpost. As more people use my scheduling tool, these times will adjust as needed.

1-5 level only please. This is not my high level ad hoc campaign. I will make a separate scheduling tool for that.

So. I got hit hard a couple hours before the time with my sleep, and just could not stay awake. I would have been useless to people in that state (I did warn this might happen). I'll try again next week at the same time, and start my ad hoc stuff this week instead. These will be open to all (though if you're a low level with a highbie...). I'll be posting a tool for that within the day.

I apologize. I should not have pushed my mental energy to DM five hours earlier, that pushed me into exhaustion :p

This is a link for open sessions. I'd prefer to keep this at 5+ and my main campaign at 1-5 for the sake of simplicity and making challenges easier. Please include the level, alignment, and class of the PC you wish to bring along into any sessions in the 'note' section. This will make it easier to be fair to those wishing to join. Mind you, if I see a decent group of PCs within low levels in specific times, I'll be glad to DM them as well as high levels.

This slot is about tailoring to what I get, not about restrictions.

I'll be announcing times for these as they pop up, so keep an eye on this thread.

Use this thread for any questions. Anything private use PMs.

As an exception for today, I will be doing an ad hoc bit in an hour (1:30PM EST) due to scheduling issues. Tomorrows session I was planning will be cancelled, with friday being my next session.

For the record, my closed campaign has one slot open. If you want to play a low level druid or fighter in a balanced, scheduled long term campaign, PM me after you've inputted your time into my main session schedule tool.

With May passed, this is the new scheduler for my stuff: http://whenisgood.net/yajfnt9

Consider this the only one now. I know the main PCs and can schedule for them from this with filters easily. Everyone interested in ad hoc or main sessions with me please input your times available into this. If you are new, please PM me or including in your note your classes, alignment, and other relevant PC stuff for ease of inclusion.

And remember, you can update these times anytime. This is not a one shot thing.
