Sylvus Moonbow?

Post by Kalbar »

Alive or dead? Hopefully the former. I may have loved him once.

Does Gromnir still haunt the interwebs?

I know a Zalanthe Moonglow who is played by Swift. But don't let missing friends deter you from a return to Alfa. There are lots of great characters to meet out there.

No and no. I assume like 95% of people now have no idea who you are even.
People talk of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as man, so artistically cruel.

And I have no idea who you are; neither point being germane to the questions I asked.

It is interesting to note that Slyvus now apparently exists in some sort of stasis beyond life and death and Gromnir has recused himself from all participation on the internet.

Thank you for your kind assistance.

I'm fairly certain that only a couple people could answer your question, and they seem to be on hiatus or somesuch.
First Character: Zyrus Meynolt, the serene Water Genasi berserker. "I am the embodiment of the oceans; serene until you summon the storm." Zyrus: http://tinyurl.com/9emdbnd

Second Character: Damien Collins, the atypical druid. "What? Being a stick in the mud is boring. No pun intended grins"

Were these PCs in ALFA NWN2? I've been playing pretty much every day since live and do not recognize either name.

(( there was no transfer of PCs from NWN1 to NWN2))
PCs: NWN1: Trailyn "Wayfarer" Krast, Nashkel hayseed

NWN2: ??

Wow, guys... c'mon now.

We're talking to Kalbar here, we're going way back. Gromnir hasn't made an appearance since NWN2 reared its ugly head, and I don't recall seeing Sylvus for the longest time either.

Paazin was right though, most of the blood here nowadays won't remember those names (a shame, really).

To those asking: these are forum alias/persona, not NWN1/2 PCs.
Part of ALFA since May 2000.
NWN 2 PC (BG): Layali Mae (Arcane Trickster)
NWN 2 PC (MS): Marius Lobhdain (Druid)

Well Kalbar, if you're returning, welcome! Always nice to have more folk come back :)

A more pertinent question:

Why should we care?

Asses in game, or your memory shall be resigned to the oblivion of the abyss that awaits us all.
The power of concealment lies in revelation.

+1

Asses in game FTW! :)

As for Sylvus and Gromnir that must be waaay back since they left.

I probably haven't *not* logged into the forums in a detailed fashion for more than 48 hours since I joined in mid- 2005 and neither forum nick rings a bell to me.

That said ...... I also second BH's sentiment.

Welcome back to the ALFA diaspora! :)

Asses in game? Love it. Well done.

I'm not asking for anyone to care. I am simply stepping back to a place they once were, hoping, perhaps, that some crusty oldron might have some knowledge of their current whereabouts. Doing a Google search on "Gromnir", for example, is not a productive endeavor since Bioware saw fit to immortalize him in Throne of Bhaal.

It may blow some minds that foundations of ALFA as a community date back to 2000. I remain thoroughly impressed that it still exists and humbled that I was able to play even the smallest role in the intervening years. Champions, all.

Still as much a [REDACTED] as ever, Kalby. Your questions were already answered: No, neither of them bothered to drop by in like 5 or 6 years. Or probably longer.

How am I being an *** in any way, shape, or form?

I inquired after some old friends. I complemented everyone involved in ALFA, past and present. In return you've been insulting and hostile.

I'm not stirring the pot or casting about epithets. I frankly have no recollection of you whatsoever, paazin, and can only assume I committed some grievous wrong against you in the past. If so, you have my deepest and most sincere of apologies.

As someone whom never even played NwN1 and a member here for just under two years I'd merely like to say hello , can't help you with old friends but would love it if you have the urge to roll one up and get into some good online RP :D
