Strange, I seem to recall asking Indio why it so important for Rusty to be DMA since he was cheerleading for him so much. I take it he's changed his mind.Rick7475 wrote:As Indio stated, if you vote for Rusty, you doom TSM.
He didn't quite say that, but he did make a post during the elections saying he didn't think electing Rusty was a good idea, because Rusty's inability to get on with the other Admin.Mulu wrote:Strange, I seem to recall asking Indio why it so important for Rusty to be DMA since he was cheerleading for him so much. Indeed not, why make up your own mind when you can just get by on mental welfare?Mulu wrote:Haven't read the rest of this thread because I doubt I need to, and none of this is surprising me.
On a more serious note, I don't quite get this. I have my own disagreements with Rusty on several issues as witnessed on the standards boards, and the team is set up to be a body of different opinions from all corners of ALFA to make for educated and fruitful discussion.Mulu wrote:I've had my own negative experiences with Rusty, which is why I dropped out of Standards.
Take note everyone! This is what an apology looks like!Alara wrote:I certainly apologise if you felt unwelcome or unappreciated, as I'm heading the team and would have to take some responsibility in it. I valued your input, and the panel actually is about being nonconformous.
Rusty and I do agree quite a bit about the game; we are of similar mind on many issues, and I can't recall any heated conflicts on the forums. My issues with him had nothing to do with Standards, they had to do with insulting PM's he sent me, which made me no longer want to work with him in any capacity.Veilan wrote:I've never seen any bad problems between you and him there on the boards (in fact, I think you often had some congruency on issues of old-school PnP approaches).
Wow. That is such a hypocritical statement from Rusty. So what were all the posts about him quitting as DMA and posting most of a dispute thread against very experienced players about? Who he no doubt continues to press and is probably doing a good job of pushing them out of ALFA, whomever those poor souls are. Ahem.Hialmar wrote:Rusty, do you really think someone who has read the above sentence is going to talk with you or just quit ?There is no need to engage in forum warfare to solve disputes, and I will not tolerate ALFA DMs doing so.
This sir is an insult. You are not Rick's or any other DM boss.
You are just one ALFAn like any other.
Being elected 3 times makes no difference to that.
All right, I am not finished posting after all. I appreciate all the support. I found a couple of PW's that work that also have ALFA players.Mayhem wrote:Rick ran against Rusty.
Rick lost in a fair vote.
Rick decides to quit.
Hialmar immediately decides this is grounds for recalling Rusty, and some other folks jump aboard the bandwagon.
Why don't we cut out the middle men, forget this voting nonsense, and just award Admin posts to the people that Hialmar and his friends think are most useful.
Why don't you run for an Admin post and try to work with Rusty ?Mayhem wrote:Rick ran against Rusty.
