Coronation of Ariella

Post by Rick7475 »

Greetings, my name is Jor'yth Wendt, swordself, devoted follower of Vandria Gilmadrith, sometimes unhinged. I am writing this as practice and an assignment from my tutor to help with my studies. I never completed my early schooling to the disappointment of my father on account of my time spent fixing racing chariots. Unfortunately led to tragedy but that is another story. I was born and raised in Waterdeep, my father was a Civilar in the Watch and my mother was a midwife and healer, both retired. My father did teach me swordship, which I improved upon. I have some siblings around. I hang out with the Adventure's Guild lending my blade and then in the Westwood at Renvanna village. Seen a lot of elves die there can't keep track anymore.

Right, that was my intro. First paragraph. So we were going to the Feywild for something. Me and Peartlin and Ro were the escorts though I think Heri wanted to be too cause he claims to be the best at it. Crow was scouting and Sam and Ariella did magic and healing stuff. Nym was the talker to get us out of trouble. To get to the Queen of the Wild we had to go through this cold land with these ice creatures on the cliffs that shot ice arrows, and these mounted guys that were very fast. The ice guys were hard to hit little shits hiding up on the cliffs. That hurt. The mounted guys were all right, my sword could handle them.

Second paragraph. We came to the ice palace which had weird leaf patterned floors. I guess some might call it artistic. To the right was the complaints department. Some guy with a flaming horse, I mean the hooves and mane were on fire, that must have hurt the horse. I am not a rider, but hate to see an animal suffering, the jerk. He asked us to file a complaint. I should have complained about him torturing animals, but I checked the room and there were skeletons sitting in the waiting area, so I figured we probably didn't have that much time. There was another door but we were told it was the door of death. Anyway Nym or Sam said something and the horse torturer teleported us to the king's room.

Third paragraph. Since I was teleported in front, I quickly shuffled to the back to let Nym do the talking. The queen was hiding it just the king and his cronies. Heri sang a wonderful song and the king was somewhat pleased, enough that we weren't all executed! Nym was asking for passage to see the fairy queen, but the king sent us back and said we had to prove ourselves. Back to the room with burning horse and rider, and of course if was through the death door. We went through some rooms with tricky placed traps, but not beyond the amazing abilities of Crow detecting them. Another room with giant hands. Rooms had statues of naked ladies I think Heri was trying to sketch. Then a room full of trees and L shaped pools and a red dragon that appeared immobile guarding the door. Well, it wasn't immobile for long!

In conclusion, the red dragon attacked when we went by it. I swung and hit it numerous times!! But my sword did not damage it. I figured it wasn't powerful enough magic on my sword. I got it from an elf that died in Renvanna and can't even remember his name. I stayed in the fight with the green or red or whatever color dragon to take the heat off the others. Peartlin and Ro were doing great and Heri with his magic arrows and Sam and Nym with missiles and Ariella healing. I got hit quite a lot, it was kind of fuzzy after that. Peartlin dealt the final blow and got the dragon head but the door led no where. Sam found a secret door in one of the pools and we ended up back in the kings room, and he granted us passage, and we went to see the fairies, and they had a fairy merchant with nice stuff my broke butt could never afford, and we found the fairy queen and Heri sung an absolute master piece, and then the fairy queen made Ariella queen of the elves!!
