The Romantics guide to Waterdeep

The Romantics guide to the Sea Ward

We walk amidst temples with the grandest of spires
Her breath is as snowflakes, her touch is as fire
Others hurry past consumed with their duty
But all I have eyes for is her Sune given beauty

So you have found someone to walk with you in the Sea Ward? Marvellous, well done! Now you just have to show him or her a good time in the sea ward. It is a grand place, full of marble and villas. This guide will show you all the best vistas and venues in which to declare your love undying, or at least quicken his or her heart.

1L - The Park of Heroes – Located in the north of the Sea Ward, this park is perfect for removing the boots and feeling the grass between the toes. Seek shade here during the hot summer days, and bring a lunch to enjoy underneath the trees. A perfect place to lay down a blanket, and gaze deep into each other’s eyes as the day passes.

1O - Selchoun’s Sorcerous Sundries – After the park, you can dart across the road to buy her a toy from the sorcerous sundries shop. Perhaps your lover comes with children already? You are lucky then, for the unconditional love from children is like no other. Please him or her no end by buying something to amuse and delight.

1N – 3 Waterfalls – Do you both feel the heat rising? Quench it temporarily here with by trailing your fingers in in the three pools filled by falling water. The prefect spot to propose.

1M – Shrines to Nature – Here are the forested outdoor shrines to Meilikki and Silvanus. Feel free to wander past and enjoy the view, but keep on the road lest you disturb the clergy.

1P – The North Gate – Find a bench to watch the coming and going of the traders and visitors. Sit hand and hand and imagine stories for the people who walk past.

1S – The Fiery Flagon – It has been said that the way to a man’s heart is through his belly. Fill his with the best sea-food in the city and see if it is true. They also have a selection of wines if your courage is a little lacking. The patrons can be a little rough, but it could be a good contrast to show how smooth you are. The West gate is nearby if you wish to walk outside the walls after filling yourself.

1U – The Tespergates – I am told there is a party here every tenday open to all. I haven’t been so I cannot comment on the venue. There is also a lot of stately villas around to wander past and admire.

1Y – The Field of Triumph – Perhaps you could take a bloodthirsty paramour here, but honestly there are far more satisfying ways to quicken the blood…

Arryn peruses the pamphlet, nodding occasionally and making exclamations of approval and gratitude.

Mm, yes to be sure...seafood and a walk by the water...mm.
