This thread reminds me of Pokémon.

*rocks out*
pragmatic (adj.)
The opposite of idealistic is pragmatic, a word that describes a philosophy of "doing what works best."
From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were
concerned more with real-world application of ideas than with abstract notions. A pragmatic person
is sensible, grounded, and practical.

What's the point of savings if you don't blow them on frivolous trips around the world?! Tell me when!

I believe plans were tentatively laid over much alcohol to come collect the Swedes.

Well I am in Japan in April and Melbourne for a weekend in July attending PAX. At a rough date, I would say late October, but obviously I would have to actually talk to Dorn and Rumple about it first :D

Cant have it in November because, obviously, I am not cutting into my writing time even to meet some ALFAns ;)

I will meet all of you Australian types on the South Island of New Zealand next winter (your summer). I will dedicate a day to not fishing so I can hang out with y'all.

You have forgotten Elcadaver Swift.

Also Loub, your savings will decimated if you buy a sandwhich in Perth airport. This is not a reflection upon your savings, but upon the Perth expenses.

I now have a house down that way. Thangorn is in the region as well. I will dedicate a day to not bad-mouthing Heero to hang out with you.

Thread necromancy - dead thread, arise!

Not that it matters, but years ago I met:

Vendrin
Loulabelle (of course)
AcadiusLost (also of course)
Ayergo
Fionn (and yes, Lou, you met him - at my apartment, when he flattened my hard-drive while Acadius and Ayergo were discussing fencing I think)
Pensive-Wetness (he still calls from time to time, retired from the navy now)
Murky (doesn't call me - can't imagine why? ALFA drama at its finest)
Rotku ... I think ... I think it was Rotku who came to San Francisco and stayed at a hostel on Broadway and I came and picked him up and we had dinner or lunch or coffee or something. It was one of you kiwi's .. or aussies ... damn, I should remember.

And that is it, I think - I talked to a lot of ALFAns on the phone over the years, like Mr. Duncan and Muse and our whole evil crew, but never met them in person. Alas. Probably better this way - how many of us have bodies as tight as our PCs?!? ;)
ALFA1-NWN1: Sheyreiza Valakahsa
NWN2: Layla (aka Aliyah, Amira, Snake and others) and Vellya

Haha, good for you two. I am working on it - I was in pretty decent shape back when ALFA first started, and I am on my way back - I am running 5-7 miles a day, 3 to 4 times a week, these days. Can't say I'm hitting the gym or lifting any weights - not really my thing - but my legs are looking great! ;)

Me too. I'm way taller in person though. It was NickD you met Mikayla.

NickD? Really? Are you sure? Not that I can dispute you since I only vaguely remember going to the hostel, so I'll have to take your word for it. I could have sworn it was Rotku ... or Regas ... or some other "R" name, but then, I can't really remember. Well, OK, it was NickD then.

If I really let myself go and hit the junkfood like a fiend I reckon I could get myself a pair of man cans to rival my characters.

You've got until October. I expect cans.
