I had no real interest in this, but went to see it out of national pride.

Finally saw it. Pretty decent action fantasy movie, at times quite entertaining, at times shockingly mediocre, occasionally cringe-worthy embarrassing to watch.
It told a rather different (and different kind of) story than the one in the book it's supposedly based on.
