pragmatic (adj.)
The opposite of idealistic is pragmatic, a word that describes a philosophy of "doing what works best."
From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were

No. No sir, it is not.Galadorn wrote:skype is ghei
Also, it was fun. It started off awkward as no one was really into talking, but I found the second call that occurred (after a POSSIBLY drunken Loulabelle took over and put our old call on hold) was much better quality and no one was fighting to get a word in over one another (then again, it's also when much more involved discussions on ALFA and additions and such occurred).
All in all, it was fun. Shy people need to learn to step up and talk, and I think whoever has the best connection should host to prevent people talking over one another by mistake.

Re: ALFACon: Skype edition
Skype annoys me that it still doesn't have proper push to talk built into it.

Re: ALFACon: Skype edition
Im running the latest and it says it has push to talk, but it actually functions as push to mute...the exact opposite of what virtually every other voice com program implements. Was trying it last night during some gaming with Veilan and Cres.
