I have always been bad about making documentation, so I'm seeking your help! We are going to edit the in game descriptions for our custom feats/skills.

For example, here is Brew Potion, now "Brewing":

So let's start a thread on what we think the rest of the things will be changed to.

Craft Weapon

Ability: Intelligence
Requires Training: No
Classes: All

A character can craft any type of weapon that they can equip.

How to Craft:
You will need at minimum a base item (sword, dagger, etc) and a metal ingot. Place the ingot on the crafting anvil and strike it with the equipped weapon. The first hit will give feedback on the DC and XP costs for the craft. Strike the anvil with the weapon 5 times to complete the craft and pay the XP cost. Additional properties may be gained on a "mastercraft", which is beating the DC by 5 or more. Properties gained may be based on your characters alignment, classes, or attributes as well as random chance. A full guide is available on our website.

Craft Trap

You must use a trap crafting station to craft traps by combining ingredients. Once you do so, you will roll for success (1d20 +skill). If you fail, a mishap will occur and you will take some sort of damage and lose your ingredients. There is no xp loss associated with trap crafting. The save DC if you set the trap off is the same as the craft DC, so if you are trying to make a DC 20 trap it will have a DC 20 save to avoid the worst. Minor spike has the lowest DC(possibly 7), otherwise it is 15 for most others.Trap recipes are embedded in the trap crafting station dialogue.

Intimidate

Ability: Charisma
Requires Training: No
Classes: All
Use: Automatic

You can use your force of presence to cause negative effects on creatures when you first see each other. The effects range from being momentarily dazed to all out fear based on your skill level. Using armor and shields reduces your intimidate ability significantly, and using a two handed weapon gives a significant bonus. Barbarians add their barbarian levels to all intimidate checks and automatically roll intimidate when raging.

Craft Wand -> Craft Wondrous Item

Prerequisites: Caster level 5+
Skill Required: Spellcraft

A character can enchant a number of useful items. Any item that can be equipped can be enchanted with charges or uses per day, based on the ingot used.

To craft, place the ingot and the item on the enchanting table. Either a scroll with the spell may be used or the spell may be cast on the table directly. Additional properties may be gained on a "mastercraft", which is beating the DC by 5 or more. Properties gained may be based on your characters alignment, classes, or attributes as well as random chance. A full guide is available on our website.

Additionally, the character can create golems and undead using this feat. They will need a recipe book and the ingredients to create the golem.

Thanks for explaining the intricacies of ALFA for n00bs. This all sounds great except a slight edit ... "Additional properties may be gained on a "mastercraft", which is beating the DC by 10 or more."

One has to beat the DC by more than 5 to avoid negative qualities.
