Watch Notice: Monsters Loose in Waterdeep

This is an official notice to all citizens.

While many of the monsters recently escaped from the Monster Shop have been chased out of the city or rounded up the following are still loose.

North Ward
2 Umber hulks are loose in the middle of the north ward - residents of the private estates are asked to stay within their walls and not attract their attention

Sea Ward
An ettin and a troll have been reported trading insults in a running battle across the Sea Ward north of Mount Waterdeep

Across the City
Many sightings of smaller beetles and insects are being reported from across the city.

The Sewers
The city believes many creatures have entered the Sewers to take refuge. All citizens not on official business are cautioned against entering and do so at their own risk.

While still gathering his bearings in this marvelous and expansive city; Mikkaalgensis of Bahamut came across a trio of huge Ants that were threatening the fair folk of Waterdeep. In a valiant effort he brought all three low, and walked away proud; knowing that his actions might have saved someone that day.

A disapproving Oghmanyte interrupts a quartet of watchmen while they munch on turkey legs from the market. She shows them the smoldering carapaces of two oversized Pyrochroidae beetles that she read to from the book of Oghma not half a block from their lunch break. After describing their genus and species, with a digression to the standard cone diameter of the the beetle's fiery breath, she requests a copy of the watchmen's written report to the Ward Civilar of the Watch.

A homeless looking elf reports to the North Gate Watch Post that two Umberhulks have been slain South of North Gate and North of the Market, within the proximity of the second sewer grate south of North Gate.

A dark armored warrior draped in fiery orange cloak is set upon by a huge buzzing creature near the Hanged Man Tavern. A few slashes later, the only fatal sting felt by the two surprised combatants is the deep cut of his katana as the horse sized wasp expels its guts upon the cobblestones...

The watch have let it be known that much of the danger has now passed.

The troll and Ettin still stalk the Sea ward but the area has been evacuated as they engage in some kind of running battle in one of less populataed areas.

Reports of an umber hulk and a different ettin abound about the sewers. The ettin has apparently co-opted a bunch of goblins and now leads them.

The watch advise citizens that there may still be monsters and beasts unaccounted for and to be wary.

Slodging through the sewers, in ankle deep filth a large insect like beast was found lurking with goblins. Arrows and blades sang true. Arrows striking the great Umberhulk in it's maw. The Umberhulk was brought down to size. Laird, Hodar, and Jed checked the monster for life after the battle, but it was extinguished. Exhausted the trio made way for a sewer exit. The Ettin would have to wait.

Vale Clearwaters reports to the Adventurer's Quarter Watch-Wizard Sayra, that the Ettin and Troll that were plaguing the Sea Ward, will plague it no longer.

Lurking in the midst of victimized goblins a lone Ettin stood while disputing with itself what goblin to smash and what to tickle. Laird snuck behind the ettin while it was in heated conversation and landed two arrows, one for each head. The giant lumbered forward and fell to its knees. This action was greeted with shouts of goblinoid jubilation. An awkward pause as the shouts of joy turned to terror as the little gnome loaded up his quiver with more arrows.
