Daily Trumpet - Lizards Swept By Giant Wave!

Post by ayergo »

A giant wave struck the western wall of the city, dragging away many of the lizards who have been plaguing shipping in the area. Anonymous sources claim that the church of Umberlee was involved with the wave, which got high enough to even drag a few of the Waterdeep guards off their posts and drown them. The Umberleans have issued no comment, but an outpouring of support from local merchant ships has seen vast donation increases and offings to her watery halls.

OOC: Lizard/yuan-ti numbers have been greatly reduced due to player actions.
There's a place I like to hide
A doorway that I run through in the night
Relax child, you were there
But only didn't realize and you were scared
It's a place where you will learn
To face your fears, retrace the years
And ride the whims of your mind

Hearing the news, the mysterious elf Kiir is heard to comment aloud that the wave apparently washed the Lizard men and their Cultist compatriots into the Southern woods where there has been a great increase in their numbers, including the addition of priests with undead servants, saltwater crocodiles and wyverns. Kiir displays the tail of one Lizard man and the blood of two wyverns he recently killed while scouting the woods, and tells of a fortified gate now erected on the trail to the waterfall he previously discovered. "Perhaps an offering to Silvanus is in order next? Or better yet Chauntea, for at this rate the Cultists and their servants will be encamped in the farms and fields on the outskirts of the City before long."
