Server info can be found here.

In the thread labelled...

"Info for players on 011"

1) Server Bounds
Image
The current server bounds are from Dragonspear Castle in the West to Hillsedge in the East and from Soubar in the South to Highstar Lake in the North.
The exterior part of the server is made from Travel Areas which are at 25% scale (named x02, x03, etc). There are no restrictions on where you can move within the areas. Travelling between areas is seamless, so to cross an area boundary walk "through" the edge. Some areas such as towns are cut out of the scaled version, so to enter e.g. Soubar or Dragonspear Castle you need to use the normal ATs. These are marked as map points.
The list of (surface) towns/cities are... (from memory)

Dragonspear castle (Ruined, where Baahl went nuts and on a killing rampage vs someone)
Soubar (A real frontier town, full of scumbags, and a great place to "lie low")
Boareskyr Bridge (a very interesting area, it is where Cyric killed Bhaal)
Serpents Cowl (a town built on the ruins of an ancient city)
Hillsedge (the largest town in the server, with the best services)

It really is a very nice, history filled, server with some beautiful adventure areas

Ya that is what I figured. And it is called the hidden library for a reason.

But talking about a wizards best dream!

Obviously a DM event.

Perhaps, I am fairly sure its not in the mod, from what i remember.

Perhaps if someone wanted to build it (and 9! satellite towns) you would have a much better chance of seeing it.

Ya know I would be happy to do so.

Let me learn to DM real quick and then build. I figure two weeks.

I will look through the various source material and see what WHL needs besides this fabled city.

At the very least I figure a few spots added in the various moors and such that would keep people searching.

:)

Rumple is correct, it's not in the mod - one of those things that's "recent history" rather than standard canon.

How are builders handled when it comes to playing on that server?

Are you limited like when you DM?

Shouldn't be. People have been building for BG and played there.
pragmatic (adj.)
The opposite of idealistic is pragmatic, a word that describes a philosophy of "doing what works best."
From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were
concerned more with real-world application of ideas than with abstract notions. A pragmatic person
is sensible, grounded, and practical.
