Odd coincidence, I've just gone to email the host about prodding the server to find a message saying he's been away for a month and was everything alright?

Yeah, that's still registered to the wrong IP. Upgrade your CE and use the server lists; they update faster than DNS.
Server also didn't go down; it's alive still with its vault connection working. Don't know why you dropped DD, but it's not on WHL's side.
