Show me yours...
...I'll show you mine! It's fun to look at the portraits, give you a better "hum" what the player is after. Some descriptions are tricky ;D

My current placeholder is on my signature, but I'd love to find a better pic of Zyrus.
First Character: Zyrus Meynolt, the serene Water Genasi berserker. "I am the embodiment of the oceans; serene until you summon the storm." Zyrus: http://tinyurl.com/9emdbnd
Second Character: Damien Collins, the atypical druid. "What? Being a stick in the mud is boring. No pun intended grins"
Western Heartlands HDM: On break. PM for emergencies

Re: Show me yours...
I snagged a good one of him in-game. I've not posted it to my journal because the framing on the whole image was shite, but the Zyrus bit of it is still good. I'll upload it and post it here later on.Adanu wrote:My current placeholder is on my signature, but I'd love to find a better pic of Zyrus.

Re: Show me yours...
I-KP I would love to know how you produce such good images from in-game shots.
Also this is exactly the thread to post these in.
Remember, if you rename your tga portrait file, and don't inform me, then everyone who gets the portrait pack won't have the correct file and won't be able to see it in game
ALSO, if you need a picture you find converted to be used in game, even if it is a modern picture we can art-it into a more acceptable form for you

Replace the gun with a longsword, and this would be Kert Davis in his civillian clothes

Kert Davis = Western Cowboy who wears plate armor and cast spells.
Re: Show me yours...
Spending a lot of time moving the Character cam around in-game looking for a nice frame (during fights this becomes risky), then judicious use of the airbrush tools in Photoshop. I liken Photoshop to any other medium: once you learn the various techniques everything else comes fairly easily. Yes, there are many stock filters in Photoshop that are one-click-wonders but their results are usually easily identifiable. Nothing wrong with that per sé; you still need an eye for a well composed frame in the first place.maxcell wrote:I-KP I would love to know how you produce such good images from in-game shots.
