Father Benjamin was seen offloading a corpse in Corwell on the Skaug docks. After a short commiseration with Bu--the silent but often present Grumbar worshipper, they both were seen to head off to the grove with the corpse. Bu carried the burden with the solemn father following close thereafter clearly physically strained from his endeavour.

*locals, vendors, merchants, fishermen, inkeepers, bartenders and/or shop owners may mumble near you haphazardly about a man who can fashion armors or clothing from natural materials, cloth, leather, hides, and scales. If investigated directly, it will lead to a man named Bu who can be met in Corwell town, usually near Trappers' Hold Inn and Tavern, or the Druid's Grove north of Corwell*

*additionally any recovered furs, hides, carcasses of especially wild, rare, or exotic animals are being sought by the same man*

Within Corwell town there is a distinct but undramatic rumour of a tall woman with a piercing gaze, the looks of a druid or ranger, asking many general questions, some seeming quite strange or out of place.
At times she's given quite an unfriendly impression.

As a ship pulls into port there was seen a Wizards robed in layers of red. He was seen making his way though Cromwell looking about. While friendly enough several locals were unhappy with something and were seen yelling at the wizard.

He was later seen speaking with a certain druid and cleric of Kelemvor. Rumor has it he was escorted into the marsh by said Cleric. Now he can be seen by most performing magical studies in and about the city.

The body of Bardan, suspected rascal and ne'erdowell was found at the base of a Caer Corwell cliff this morning by fishermen. His clothes and possessions had apparently been removed.

While the authorites are publicly happy he's not around anymore, being suspected of illicit trade in some very harmful substances, they are worried that a new rogue organization may be making a play on Gwynneth Isle.

He was last seen escorting a ravishing looking female elf, newly arrived from the mainland, down the docks towards the Snowdown Trading Coster, his reputed place of work.

A halfling was seen running on the Corwell docks in a near panic. It seems he was being chased by a number of rats and small rodents. He was able to escape as he lept aboard a ship bound for the Iron Keep on Oman's isle. The creatures kept up up an intense pursuit, jumping into the water to follow him and futily clawing at the vessel's hull. One Corwell guard noted it strangely that, as the rats sank into the waters of the harbor, they appeared to already look like bloated and decayed corpses.

A giant of a blue man has been seen around the Moonshaes recently. With very strange features and a giant axe on his back when about, he's been seen taking daily swims into the waters around Corwell for hours at a time. He has the obvious look of a warrior about him, and has referred to himself as a 'berserker' when asked.

Since he has arrived, he has been seen bloodied and battered coming from Iron Keep with a very charismatic man, and been seen alongside the same man putting down undead at the Macsheenan Ruins what seems like daily. Each time seemingly enjoying themselves while doing it, Axe and Crossbow ripping into the animated corpses as the duo drive into the horde.

A motley group of about five or six adventurers were seek taking a pale, feverish elven woman to one of rooms within Trapper's Hold. Those personally witnessing the event swear they heard talk amongst the adventurers of lightning-bolt wielding vampires as the cause of the woman's injuries though the exact story of what had transpired is difficult to pin down.
People talk of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as man, so artistically cruel.

Rumour starting to go around about a Captian Temere at Corwell, The rumour aint much about him as it is about his ship. Story goes that he has missplaced a ship during a drunk night and people in taverns spectate that the crew went against him and stole the ship when he wasnt looking. Or that the Captian doesnt have a ship to begin with or even that the Captian still has the ship but doesnt want to give out the name for it, for mysteriously reason.

Captain Tremere have also seen being hanging around some adventures. Could this do anything about the ship or the reason he is here?

Some claim that he is sole reason that the demand of rum has increased.

In the darkest hours before dawn two night past, a piercing scream was heard on the southernmost pier in Corwell harbor. The alerted guards discovered the body of Gilda, a known coinlass and streetwalker next to that of a large moorhound known to belong to a local fishmonger. The huge dog looked to have been bludgeoned while the whore shot through in the spine with an arrow.

Then, just this morn, the mostly eaten body of a man, presumed to be the fishmonger himself, washed ashore outside of the breakwall.

Skaug

Post by dergon darkhelm »

The Church of Umberlee is enraged to learn of two attack waged against their allies in one day within the center of Skaug town.

A band of some dozen hired mercenaries, including warriors priests and a battlemage, was slaughtered within their quartershouse. Later the same day, two guards at the Umberlant Temple compound were found dead in the church warehouse near a destroyed cask of holied water.

The group responsible for the attack is not known, but it is said that one of the Maliceprow guards who discovered the slaying found a bloodied cloak of Tempus at the scene and that the sybol of the foehammer had been carved after death into the forehead of the dead mercenery priest.

Four corpses of brutally murdered men were found by fishermen near the shores of Graystone, their equipped and personal belongings scattered around them. The identity of the attackers, or their motives remain a mystery.

One of the men was later identified as the son of a well known merchant in Corwell.

Every dock is full in Skaug and ships overflow anchored in the harbor. Word spreads among the crew ashor that the Captains are afraid to put to sea out of fear of a "ghost ship" that has been attacking near the island.

The sailors are getting edgy, their gold mostly spent from too long ashore, and trade has slowed significantly.

Skaug attacked by undead!

Apparitions of men bearing incorporeal cutlasses led shambling rotted corpses in an onshore raid on the docks of Skaug.

Word had that some dozens are dozens are killed in the attack. Particularly hard hit was the Temple of Kelemvor, whose acolytes seem to have been deliberately targeted for assassination preliminary to the raid.

Priests from the Temple of Istishia however, sallied forth and fought off the creatures.

_______

A few days after the raid, quiet has returned. The first of some bold Captains decide to head to sea and to test the waters. No sighting of the ghost ship or its minions has been made since the raid.
