A book about the 40th anniversary of D&D

NPR interviewing Michael Witwer, author of a retrospective book about the early days of Gary Gygax and the birth of D&D, which of course was the birth of all role playing games as we know them:

One part discussed is the story of James Egbert, the college student and D&D player who killed himself. Though it was later learned that Egbert's suicide was not linked to D&D and/or the occult, it was the start of a false narrative around D&D that has never really left:

I heard part of this interview on NPR. I was thinking about picking up the book, thanks for the reminder.
