New group?

I was wondering who would be interested in starting a 'morally-flexible' group? I think those guided by whats "right" and "just" have had it too easy for too long!
I was curious if some player on player drama might liven things up...

Sounds fun. I'm DMing on TSM, and so far only get regular PCs logging in on Saturday AM.

My other PCs lean towards good but are not lawful by any means. I just rolled a new PC that fits this criteria yesterday FYI, and will be playing her on BG/MS.

My new elf leans toward "moral" but is flexible enough to be in a group that is not overtly evil.

I'll start dreaming up a new bio and deciding who I have to cut from the PC roster then : )

I have a chaotic bard that is going to float between MS and BG for now, if that influences you at all.

I was thinking of rolling up a cleric, so that might be a good combo : )

Dergon mentioned needing a cleric yesterday, that would be nice I think.

I should probably note that, historically, this sort of thing just divides the playerbase and then atrophies on the patterns of each smaller group. That's not really a big deal if each group can stand alone (and you'll get that desired effect under only those specific conditions, because humans are screwed up and tend to isolate themselves and talk about how angry the people who aren't in their isolated groups make them, and as we all know that sentence was [opposite political view] propaganda, because [agreeing political view] doesn't do that), but we're at less than a third of the population we need for that sort of strategy.

We don't even have to go very far back to see this happening, because we've had a striking instance of it this year, but for some reason we keep repeating the insanity.

If you'd like to energize the community, then your best bet will be to get things to happen in game, invite everyone to it (even folk who are inactive or not ALFAns-- we need a lot more people to do anything resembling competing factions), try to build up a normal/constructive/good-ish default (y'know, like a society or a social group), and then you can expect that a faction of rebels will liven things up. Right now you'll be rebelling against nobody, with the added trait of making characters who are incompatible with the ones who are already present.

Once again Zelk; thank you for the heads up ( I mean this, not as a biting sarcastic thank you; but as a thumbs up kindof thank you ) I believe that the folks that remain in this community are looking for revitalization moreso than a 'us vs them' sort of mentality; or should I say; thats what Im looking for.
This was a concept that I arrived at to spark a little interest at those who may have non-comformist concepts who dont have the support; or perceived support that would assist the aforementioned concepts.
I've went through my channels to find members to support for any increased player/dm base and despite a few old players poking around Ive been largely unsuccessful.
In my sometimes humble opinion; conflict breeds a desire to log on.
ps: Im halfway through a bottle of bourbon and I might be rambling.

A significant part of my point there was that these groups don't have support-- at least not the kinds of support that builds communities.

You can still get novelty and can still get some quantity of 'weird' without breaking compatibility with the existing population, and by not breaking compatibility, you get more options for play (and, thus, more fun out of our small and shrinking community).

Anyone on BG can try and hire Shank (the Tank :) ) to fight with them...

He's not a very pleasant fellow, but he has no problem killing anything or anyone if the coin is right, or even just for fun. (Plus he's got a great AC for lvl.5)
