Campaigns forum

Post by MaskedIllusion »

I was thinking today, that it might be a good idea to set up a Campaigns forum category. Like we have time zone category and, the general discussion category, stuff like that.

That way all the campaign info would be in one place, and people would not have to go digging through the 'general discussion, OOC server threads, ect" It would all be in one handy place (save for IC stuff which would stay in the IC server forums). This would make when DM's are looking for players, or players looking for DM's much more visible.

This would likely be something that would have to be brought up to Foam or one of the others for actual implementation, but I wanted to get everyone's feeling and opinions on this first.

Thoughts?

The wiki works well for that kind of thing. We already have "player groups" which pretty much means "campaigns" these days.

Foam said that as well, about the player groups, but I disagree.

The player groups are just that. They are not in and of themselves a place for DM's to post information on campaigns they are trying to run unless they all ready have a group interested.

That, and I just have never seen a DM use it. I believe we need a more clear dedicated area for campaign and plot stuff.

Keep in mind that you can only see the groups you are a part of. We have a couple dozen forums there. Some are inactive. Some get regular posts.

Exactly my point, You only see the groups you are part of. How is a dm supposed to get people for a campaign if in that list you can only see groups you belong to. That is why I think we need a more general area.
