Be careful, though, some rods are cursed-- one of those mean curses where all preliminary testing makes them look like some great magic item, but they just don't do anything when used in earnest. Or do something silly, like just conjure a pink sock.

I know right? Drow love preferably, though my days of drow-demon-tentacle-sex seem to be long gone. Alas, I am so vanilla now.

It's not too late to come to Sshamath! Drow city of magic, and magic -always- means tentacles.

Aglaril will bring magical tentacles to the party; just be forewarned they are nerfed/broken so as to be less ... *ahem* effective... than advertised.
Formerly: Aglaril Shaelara, Faerun's unlikeliest Bladesinger
Current main: Ky - something

It’s not the critic who counts...The credit belongs to the man who actually is in the arena, who strives violently, who errs and comes up short again and again...who if he wins, knows the triumph of high achievement, but who if he fails, fails while daring greatly.-T. Roosevelt

Heero, add me to the list. when the RP is subpar, or we are paused for some reason or another i fully intend to multi-task with a porn site from here on out. One with tentacles, and elves.

Didn't mean to quite go as far as "outrage", or to offend. Maybe just poke a little ;) Against better judgement to stop after the tentacles comes out, here goes:
An enjoyable multiplayer game is a voyage taken together, and everyone has their expectations for what kind of voyage they'd enjoy, is all.

So you want to go on a voyage, say a holiday cruise. There's several ships at port to choose from, but you can't tell what kind of ship each of them are. Now assume you see one of the ships taking in a big load of hardwood. It could be that the ship is still built and intended as a cruise liner by its outfitter, and they just decided to haul some wood because they didn't have anyone wanting to go on a cruise, and didn't want to sit it out at port either. Heck, the wood might even be for constructing a brand new showroom aboard.

But way more likely the load of wood means the ship is built and intended as a cargo ship. It could well have some cabins to accommodate passengers in a pinch, so you can go on a cruise. But odds are they'll put your ideas for cruise program aside as soon as they spot some nice junk to haul. So given the chance, of course you'll pick some other ship. Is only human - and logical.

There are a good many people who argue that it is "simply logical" to diminish others based on the things they do in private with other consenting adults; I deal with a lot of them in my life. But it is equally logical to assume that such a ship is built to haul more of the same, that all interactions with such a person will be centered on them judging others for their sexuality, that all creative output will be a hollow shell to carry their judgmental opinions, and that their one opinion makes them wholly meritless.

But probably not. I would bet that the truth is that people are complex and that creative quality has to do with practice and natural ability in creative works. We should probably assume that peoples' work are of comparable quality to our own and should also do our very best to not expose the unknowing or unwilling to the private time. Like we have some baseline respect for one another or something.

Yep, well, that's what my parents said after I went from graduating from U.C. Berkeley to enlisting in the Army infantry.
And what my (then) wife said when I went from male to female.
And what my (then) girlfriend said when I went from being a lawyer to a cop.

The one constant in my life?

Change.

What can I say? I get bored easily. Life is to be lived!

If you all have read the rather frightening international laws on sexual predation, you would put a quick and certain end to this. All it takes is one incident, and this whole operation will come crashing down. Just one pissed off mother of a minor who walked in on little Suzy with her hands someplace embarrassing in front of a computer screen, and you’ve got a huge problem. Turns out that little Suzy was cyb0ring with a 57 year old convicted sex offender, and ALFA did nothing to prevent it.
All it takes is one thread like this to show ALFA gives tacit approval to the behavior, and it’s game over.

Yes, most likely no serious criminal penalties will result for ALFA, but not before all the servers are seized as evidence, and hours of depositions and responses to motions, and a whole lot of headache you all don’t need. Imagine trying to explain to your boss that you need 2 days off to fly to some court to prove that you’re not supporting sexual offender’s ability to prey upon the innocent. Trust me, we did the research when we wrote the charter.

Unless you’re ready to:

• Retain a lawyer who knows how to draft waivers that covers all the legal jurisdictions in which you operate
• Have an end-user agreement which each user signs
• Do something that verifies that each signing user is old enough to give consent
• Deal with an angry mom who wants to make an example out of you despite all that

Do yourselves a favor. Put the rule out there, and enforce it, and take great pains to show that you take it seriously.

To the rest of you who say, “hey we’re all adults here.” Then copy your character and run a session offline away from an ALFA server. Don’t create a liability that ALFA doesn’t need.

Oh the crimes against nature I have seen as an alfa player, dm, and lurker of forums I should no longer have access to.

pseudo paedophilia rings
rape
bestiality
necrophilia

If only people put nearly as much effort into developing their characters and rp'ing as they do into rp'ing every excruciating detail of their perversions. Bunch of depraved players out there. And by out there, I mean in here. Leaves a bad tasted in my mouth, if you'll excuse the pun. Anyhow, back to f****** the dead horse (puntastic).

This thread is necrophilia.
