DST ending (northern hemisphere) / starting (southern)

Post by Zelknolf »

In the usual infinite wisdom of our various countries' governing bodies, and their general love for vehicular deaths, most of the places where we play have daylight savings-- and they don't start/end on the same day, so this is going to be fun times for people.

So, if you're coordinating play with people who live in different countries, note that...
DST starts (local time goes forward one hour)...
... in Australia on October 5th
... in New Zealand on September 28th

DST ends (local time goes back one hour)...
... in Europe and the holy land on October 26th
... in the U.S. on November 2nd

Generally, I advocate the use of event time announcer apps for event coordinators, and suggest that dates and times get re-posted with the new dates of events until November, when time differences stabilize again.
