PA Candidate: Questions for the Drow Matron of Moose

Post by boombrakh »

FoamBats4All wrote:As the PA seems to control how many PCs people can play, you could run on a related platform. Player Admin self nominations are open.

If you want to see change, best way is to do the changes yourself.
Yes or No:

- Any number of PCs (no travel restrictions)
- Any number of PCs (travel restrictions)
- Any number of PCs (no more than one on each server)
- As many PCs as there are live servers (no travel restrictions)
- As many PCs as there are servers (travel restrictions)
- X (2?) number of PCs (no travel restrictions)
- X (2?) number of PCs (travel restrictions)

Open questions:

- (Two parts) If you weren't running for PA, who would you like to see run?
A) which ALFAn?
B) which non-ALFAn?

- Do you like motorcycles? If yes, what kind? If no, what's wrong with you?

- If you had 30 days to do anything you ever wanted, with only your imagination being the limit of what you could do, what would you do? (rule: after the 30 days, everything goes back to how it was except your memory of it all)

- What is feminism to you?

- The Middle East. Yes or No?

- if you were a fruit, what fruit would you be?

- Out of all the old ALFAns, which one would make the best cake? (and what cake)

- ALFA-wide amnesty for all banned players (except those from your last term). Yes or No?

- How many Gigawatts does it take to travel through time?

- If you had a day off, what would you do?

- Do you love what you do?

- Do you want follow-up questions on your replies?

- Do you consider yourself a "Legacy"?

- Eggs. Hard or soft boiled?

- Am I done now?

From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were
concerned more with real-world application of ideas than with abstract notions. A pragmatic person

ALFAns I really miss and wish were playing again (in no particular order):

Danielnm
Curm
Wynna
Fionn
Fanaticus Incendi
Jayde Moon
Swift
Darrenfx
Dorn
Magile
Keryn
Vendrin
Ithildur
Riotnrrd
Talonbreak
I-KP
NESChampion
JLM
Thangorn
Peter_Abelard
Dirsa
Ksiel
Audark
KalevD
BRM
dob85Y
NickD
Paazin
Sandermann
ewayneself
Indio
AcadiusLost
Rotku
Morbid Kate
Elcadaver

Just off the top of my head. What can we do, as a community, to get these players back?

If it is not feasible to get former players back to ALFA, what do you think is the most important thing we can do to attract new players?

If we can't do either, how can we optimize the ALFA experience given current player density?

Related to the above: ALFA needs more DMs. Do you think that enabling more than 1 (or 2?) PCs hinders our DM efforts? "Oh, I'd DM BG, but my second PC is there." "Oh, I'd DM, but I have 4 PCs."

There could always be a discussion about being allowed to dm where one plays

I think that if the previous LA election taught us anything, its that a campaign platform isnt really needed to win an Alfa election.

This thread is woefully ignored by Mikayla.

No.
You are neither drow, nor a matron. You are at most a Hipster Gnome!

That one actually looks more like me.

However as the sole ALFAn with an actual affinity to the middle east I shall allow myself to repeat my answer.
Trust me.
The answer is a big resounding
NO.

Well, duh. Of course it is. But I didn't want you to say it, I wanted the Drow Matron to say it. :D
