So in a few short days, the Lead Admin election will be started by Mikayla and/or me. Now last month, when things were confused, I offered to run again to be the Lead Admin.
However, I have been desperately trying to have a real life for the last year and things have changed drastically in the last month. I started a new job and I started dating. I go out often in the evenings and I just don't have much time left for games.
So I won't be running again for Lead Admin this year.
But what I say next is very important. I only ran because I had serious reservations about the other people running. I know a great deal more about these people than the average Alfan. I did not trust them to have access to our admin level information or them being place in a position to influence things out of their domain through bullying and power grabs I knew they were capable of.
I do not want to see that happen.
I know there is someone out there with a steady hand, a head for even-tempered thinking, a respect for privacy and confidentiality, and an enthusiastic viewpoint of Alfa and what it does.
It is very, very important to me that this election does not allow someone in who plans to break down all the good things we've built up or use their power to access our private information or play favorites with players.
So I am asking that someone with a good heart will step up and follow in my steps and the steps of other LA's like RumpleC, and do a good, honest job of it.

I promise to be a fine puppet ruler. Now, who will put their hand up my puppet hole?
*Edit - but seriously, i'm not running. You all deserve whomever you vote for.

That is the election qualification from the charter and that is what the LA evaluates when determining who may run for election.Eligibility to Serve
All members of ALFA in good standing shall be eligible to run for any Administrator seat. Good standing is defined as having received no more than one formal censure from the Administrators, or their designates, in the six months prior to the election.
You lose any credibility you have when you call for someone who is not a bully and does not act out of their domain, when you bully us and make judgements against our qualifications, outside of your own domain, when we are qualified by the charter and rules as members of ALFA.
I can not speak for the other candidates, but your allegations against me are absolutely baseless and are slanderous. If your allegations have merit, then you need to lodge your complaints with the DMA against me to dismiss me as HDM.
Re: Lead Admin Election Upcoming
There's a very big difference between a formal censure and "this person does not seem to be a good fit for ALFA". I can only recall once that I've ever submitted a player's actions to the PA, and that was for blatant cheating in NWN1. Most of the time DMs are not going to put the enjoyment of seven players on hold so they can pursue one who might be a cheating cheater, and even if they did its nigh-impossible to prove many offenses. So allegations abound, probably more than they should. There's really nothing abnormal about it, CD is just being unusually direct.

pragmatic (adj.)
The opposite of idealistic is pragmatic, a word that describes a philosophy of "doing what works best."
From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were
concerned more with real-world application of ideas than with abstract notions. A pragmatic person
is sensible, grounded, and practical.

Yeah, I'm just going to lock this before we repeat last month's shenanigans. Save it for the election.
We also don't need to berate people who try to step up and help ALFA, even if we disagree with their platforms. My thanks to everyone who ran for LA last month, especially those who tried to work with each other, rather than against each other. Hopefully we have some good, passionate candidates to help cover the LA's domain.
