On the subject of dwarven beards.
I would like to see these (unfortunately only 3) somehow added to our haks.
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NW ... ail&id=194
This is a purely cosmetic addition, and to be honest, I am uncertain if they are 100% working and drop into our show easily.
Mods, I did post over in Custom Content some time back but got yelled at, so I thought I would post over here to see if any current or future dwarven players might also be interested in a couple more beards for selection on dwarven characters.

This request has been pending for a very long time. Is there some tech reason why these can't be added or is someone just needed to do the work?

I believe it is a matter of available labor vs priority. I think the hak creator did most of the creation work, but there might need some tweaking to fit into our haks.
Re: On the subject of dwarven beards.
Models don't typically have a tech reason why they can't get in game. Some are harder to get in than others because of compatibility issues, but that's not really a "we can't make this happen," that's a "it's more difficult to make this happen."
Though in general models are low priority projects, so we tend to pick them off when we get an extra person who's particularly enthusiastic about some set of models or when someone gets bored on a weekend day and clears the requests thread out (that latter circumstance being why I try to keep the thread clean; it being tidy makes us get more models in on said days). Threads like this rarely help, anyway. Helping helps.

Zelk, please stop answering these requests with hand slaps. I can't do it myself. I just can-not. I won't ever be able to. People with technical abilities need to stop thinking that those abilities that may be innate to themselves, are in within everyone else reach. The people that can build, code, script, skin, or what ever, are smarter than me, period. I. Can't. Do. It. That is why I posted the thread, so that perhaps someone, not necessarily you or anyone currently on your team, but someone reading it just might be able to figure it out and make it happen.
If not, then it won't happen, plain and simple. But every request of this kind needs to stop being met with, "do it yourself". It is, after all, just a request.

Re: On the subject of dwarven beards.
Your actual request was posted to the custom content thread already, and was not met with a "do it yourself"-- I do note that you didn't read the first post, and spammed the thread with images. But they were just edited out, with the request itself left intact. Indeed, you can hop over to the thread and see that it's still on the list, holding equal standing with all of the other polite requests.
This thread is reviving the request.
But what I'm getting here is that the request isn't important enough to you to learn and work, so you're stuck waiting until someone else can take it up (something that will take longer if you refuse to help the people who would be doing it and try to scold them for asking-- after all, it's just a request).

There are other ways to help out. We are populating the new alfa wiki at the moment and can always use copy paste people.

Wiki editing skills are pretty basic, you can request more advanced stuff from me in #alfa-tech. Documentation, available to be edited by any member. We could use people, as Rumple says. If you want to contribute, but don't have much tech/builder skills, this is a great way!
One might even be willing to say, "Hey! That Maxcell, he totally put a good effort into something, saving me time and hard work myself. You know, I should take a look at that beard thing and see about getting it in, since he's such a good guy who helps out."
Alternatively, do what Ith did: Learn how to do it yourself, and do it. We have new elf heads because he did, that wouldn't have been in otherwise. We're usually around in #alfa-tech if you have questions on how to do things.

Re: On the subject of dwarven beards.
I didn't know that my other post had the images edited out, sorry.
Was my last post not clear enough, or was it not in english? But what I'm getting here is that the request isn't important enough to you to learn and work
Re: On the subject of dwarven beards.
I can attest to Maxcell not being very smrt. He is a standup guy and good company, however, which more than makes up for his lack of smrts.
