How much data does NWN2 use?

I'm frustrated at my workplace wi-fi which is now throttled so slow as to make gaming dangerous (for my PC)

I'm considering either tethering my phone or buying a separate wifi box to use on my Verizon plan but am trying to get an idea of how much data I would chew up doing this.

I'm not sure that tethering would be any better?

I'm not sure that you'd eat through a data plan by playing-- the downloads are the big part of NWN2, and communication for regular play is fairly cheap-- but phone networks tend to brag about their "blazing fast speed," but said blazing fast speed is still embarassingly slow for any gaming purposes.

I would used between 50-100mb for most of a day playing alfa via tether.

You're not the boss of me!

(( Anyway -- I have shift schedule with down time periods and a "if the work is done it's done" situation))

I'm not sure a 4G tether will work all that well. I know in NYC 4G works in fits and starts depending on usage. So it works, it just works as it wishes, which is fine if you are say using an email client like outlook which can spend eons trying to send a message you drafted across 4G. But it would suck if you were dependent on timely back and forth transfers of data, since what your PC needs to see might get there too late for him :)

I used to play on a 2g connection from the outback in Australia. 500km from any settlement worth mentioning. Pinged about 500-600. Used to lag by a few seconds. Dropped often. In a dm event you're generally ok. If you're going solo, looking for trouble, yeah, not advised.
