Re: LA Platform Thread: Cloud
Yes, more or less.
My concern is that I understand the Lead Admin's primary responsibilities as 1. PR related and 2. facilitating the teamwork/decision making of the entire admin team (which is the reason why they are given veto power among other things)... making a point in your platform to weigh in on issues that are primarily the domain of other admins, especially when the perspective on such issues may possibly be controversial (bringing up wealth standards or ACR stuff invariably tends to highlight the fact we as a community find ourselves these days holding very diverging set of views on such)... I'm concerned that it's doing the very opposite of what LA should be striving for, that is, helping to clarify what each admin has responsibility for and not step on each others' toes, help break up gridlock and cut through sticky chaos to move forward with decisions, etc. rather than possibly adding fuel to the fire.
I don't want to make a bigger deal than necessary but veilan and I both have noted that you highlighted these in your platform and are asking some questions about this, questions that you didn't address at all which is a bit ... unsettling.

Re: LA Platform Thread: Cloud
We need better PR. I just had a discussion with our apps team about flowing reject applicants onto our OAS in the rejection letter. My take home from the thread was we need better internal and external PR.

We need -any- PR. Its been largely ignored the last few years. Our entire process from PR to new player experience needs an overhaul. Frankly, its pretty lacking.

Re: LA Platform Thread: Cloud
I just included my idea about wealth guidelines to give an idea of what sort of play environment I support. I did mention I can't force that on individual dms and it was my opinion as a dm. And I admit, maybe it doesn't really belong as a part of my platform as it really has little to do with being LA.Zelknolf wrote:I believe the referenced dodge was the matter of the admin domains with regard your platform statement about rules and wealth levels of PCs. Specifically if you believe that the LA has the power to make policy changes to matters of PC wealth or the contents of the ACR, and/or to clarify points 3 and 4 from the platform.
I was trying to demonstrate that I support the idea of prosperity and that would be something I would take into account if I was faced by administrative proposals that would limit the prosperity and playability of characters.
Re: LA Platform Thread: Cloud
Cloud has been a model for excellent play, fairness, and personability in my eyes and mind for years since I met her on ALFA, and for those years i've had the pleasure to be DM'd by, and play along side her. Politics or not, any position she runs for without a doubt IMO she'd put knowledgeable, experienced, dedicated and effective effort into, and at the very least put tons of positive energy into for what I would genuinely expect great results for this (or any) community. Good luck CD, cheers to your love of this little cyber-home we share. Vote Cloud_Dancing!

I'm not voting for her until I see her post a wrestling gif. I can't be properly led by someone who isnt prepared to roll up her sleeves and powerbomb someone through a table.
