A notice is posted throughout the Moonshaes towns and villages and in Lowhill seeking neutral referees for the following contests:

1. Boxing
2. Wrestling - Zelk's NPC [Date/Time]
3. Swordfighting - Referee Rumple [Date/Time]
4. Archery - Referee Drake - Sunday Noon - 3PM PST
5. Mage Dueling - Referee Nettle - Saturday April 27 22:00(11pm)GMT
6. Bardic Challenge - Kalix Silvith Saturday April 27th 4-6 EST
7. Pie Eating Contest - Referee Drake - Sunday Noon - 3PM PST
8. Arm Wrestling - Referee Drake - Sunday Noon - 3PM PST

The events will each be in two categories: Novice and Expert. (we'll make the level range cut shortly)
All volunteers are offered a seat at the royal hog roast and ample portions of mead.

(We'd like some PCs to step up to coordinate events, mostly it will be you getting the participants to the right spot and having them go in order and keeping score, the engine will do all judging, and we're going to use subdual wherever possible, tech rezing if necessary for the Mage Duel.) Please volunteer in this thread with a date and time-span (and your time zone) of availability

The tourney organizers nominate Nettle to oversee the mage duel and Sweetwater to oversee Swordfighting, though they can arrange swaps amongst themselves if they desire. The Ffolk are happy this year's judges are not beholden to any of the participating nobles after the scandals of years past involving the use of certain enchanted oils in the wrestling pit.

((Zyrus would volunteer for this, but he's busy with an IC search))
First Character: Zyrus Meynolt, the serene Water Genasi berserker. "I am the embodiment of the oceans; serene until you summon the storm." Zyrus: http://tinyurl.com/9emdbnd

Second Character: Damien Collins, the atypical druid. "What? Being a stick in the mud is boring. No pun intended grins"

(( If there is enough interest for the GMT slot, and there's someone big enough and hard enough to want to try it, the eponymous 'wee Hin' would adjudicate Bear Wrestling. I'm sure the organizers would put up a reasonable purse to the one who's able to knock the bear on her bum through unarmed contest in the fastest time. ))

Bear wrestling? I'd go for that.

Anyone have a list of events, actually?

... unless one reads what SRD rules would say on grappling with a bear

But fun! :D

Oh, and it might start by tossing a coin: Tails, you wrestle the bear, Heads you wrestle the hin!

My ignorance is showing. I assumed wrestling was setting to Subdual and just allowing the NWN2 combat engine to wail away until someone fell over. If it’s different then maybe someone could come up with a way of making Bear Wrestling work. I don’t mind doing a string of contested rolls vs this or that if someone lets me know what the procedure is (or points me at a rules source).

Ah. Oh. Erm… Er… Heh. No.

Zyrus vs Tam. Perhaps the most predictable outcome within the Pantheon of predictable outcomes. :D

Is scarfing down a hundred hotdogs in a few minutes an okay kind of Greengrass event?

Wildshape! And time it right, and pick the right form ;) (You do know the pnp rules allow pretty much any animal - only imagination is the limit...)

Without his armor and weapons, Zyrus and Tam would be funny with wildshaping. I'm all for it!

Pick a dolphin. The wrestling match will end in coitus.
