Leadership feat

For the techies:

Yesterday, I partnered up with Mikayla's PC. Both of us have the leadership background feat. However, neither of us got the benefit of the leadership feat bonuses.

Is this a freak occurrence? That if two PC's both with leadership feat, instead of gaining advantage of each other, they cancel each other out?

I haven't checked if other PC's without the leadership feat gains the benefit of my presence in the party, but I would like to test it please. I'll recheck when I get the chance and post back here, but if someone in the know could tell me, that would be much appreciated.

Wow, I always wondered if they would stack but never suspected this.

How about we test it out on one of the Beta servers?

To many chiefs, not enough braves.

My PC has the Natural Leader thingy, and having gone over the combat logs of the past, I don't think my "natural leader" bonus has ever been applied to anyone. The saving throw penalty is applied - that I can see - but the bonus our partied allies are supposed to get does not appear to be happening.

Too true - when will you all realize that *I* am in charge!

Hmmph. I knew I should have gone with the "Wild Child" background.

I do not know how much discussion / bug confirmation is going on in the larger community of NWN2, but people may be onto something.

OMFG!

BB - thank you for the link. Here is a post from that link:
'Should' does not mean that it does. I'm actually fairly certain that Natural Leader does not work as intended. It gives the +1 bonus on the character sheet, but all of my tests so far (at least through patch 1.10) indicate that the bonus is not actually applied to the combat roll. It may be possible that it is the same bug that prevents Expert Tactician from working correctly.
Guess who has "Expert Tactician" as well. *Points at self.* I completely forgot I had that feat and looking back on my review of the combat logging window-pane thingy, I realize that no one (not even me so far as I can tell) was getting the bonus they are supposed to get from that feat after I make a successful Attack of Opportunity - which I do a LOT - as the "tank" I sit in the front while the archers shoot. The enemies run towards us to get to the archers and often right past me giving me an attack of opportunity - but I realize now that even when successful, no one is getting any bonuses. Arrgggghh!

This might be something to add in the "New Stuff you should know about ALFA in NWN2" Likewise I'd say characters with these feats should be entitled to a rebuild.

If we don't have any plans, desire or ability to fix these things (they might not be high enough priority) then I think Mags is right - rebuilds suck, but it sucks even more to waste feats on things that don't work at all.

It will hopefully be fixed in a patch down the line, so I'll think I'll keep my PC as it is. Also gives me a reason to act as a bossy prick in any party that I am in. The -1 to all saving throws is a bit of a downer, but I can live with it. Maybe we could get a temporary items that gives +1 to all saving throws until the bug is fixed?

I always get the +1 bonus when someone has the Natural Leader background.
