I have just added a field to the website profile (in the Members menu on the left - or top if you use subSilver - choose "My Profile") so that you can fill in your NWN2 public CD Key along with NWN1 one.

NOTE: To get your Public CD Key use the following, from your original NWN1 or NWN2 Original Campaign:

Example CDKey: 12345-67890-ABCDE-FGHIJ-KLMNO-PQRST-UVWXY
Positions: 1(2)3(4)5-(6)7(8)9(0)-A(B)C(D)E-(F)GHIJ-KLMNO-PQRST-UVWXY
The Public CDKey woud be: 24680BDF

A lot of people haven't filled this information.

This information is very useful to DMs and staff in order to find someone using their GSID or their public CD key.

Moreover we will soon develop features for NWN2 ALFA that will require people to fill their GSID and NWN2 public CD key.

Of course if you only use one game leave the other public CD key blank.

Just to clarify, for NWN2 the CD key can be found in your nwncdkey.ini file in your main NWN2 directory and the first key listed should be used.

Are you using the website profile (the one in the Members menu) or the forum profile ?

Ah, I was accessing it from the forum. It is visible from the members section of the webpage.

I have modified this so that I can print a better error message.

Can you PM me this error message ?

Thanks.

There's an 'escape character error' in the character bio section and I felt this was the best place to report it.

If my bio is this, I will get an error
I'm a hero, woo hoo!
However, if I enter the following it will work:
I\'m a hero, woo hoo!
Looks like an addslashes(), mysql_escape_string() or some variation of it will fix this. It also seems that slashes are stripped on output, so maybe just a typo.

I've entered my bio successfully for now.

Back in the days I had to change my original GSID "--Aurum--" to "Aurum_Aurum". Something about the database and hyphens at the beginning (NWN1).
Anyway. I just realized my GSID on "my profile" on the forums is the old and thereby wrong one. I don“t seem to be able to edit that myself, so could you?
wrong: --Aurum--
right: Aurum_Aurum

thanks a lot! :)
