It's very easy to become a DM, and it's totally worth it. The support you get from the players, the encouragement, and the relationships you develop in game, the responsiveness to even off-the-cuff plots and the delight of weaving plots and characters...damn fine way to spend your time. You only need fill out the form in this thread:

http://www.alandfaraway.org/phpbbforum/ ... hp?t=37168

And once you have your answer, just PM me with your intent to join.

I'm the acting HDM of TSM, so I have the responsibility of overseeing who's on our team. Here's the team as it stands:

- indio
- Wynna
- darrenhfx
- Curmudgeon

I think we need twice that number. w00t!!

I've had an expression of interest from a very exciting prospect as of yesterday, who was waiting to learn if I was the HDM or not. I neglected to tell him that I was.

Please apply!

We've got a regular playerbase of 10-20 PCs, all with extraordinary roleplaying powers, and we've got many of TSM's famed locations ready to roll. As a DM you can choose to create your own main plot and run your campaign, or work within our existing campaigns. Sub-plots are entirely yours to develop.

Thanks for your consideration.

The Silver Marches DMs are the finest human beings to ever walk the planet. They are wise beyond their years (and some, like wynna, have a lot of years!), they are stupendously strong (and not just smeling, like Indio), they are brave (for putting up with our crap, like Darrenfx) and they are mysterious (like curmudgeon, cause I never know when he is game or behind something). Their cups overflow with the milk of human-kindness, not to mention phat l00t and exp. And they are all known to be handsome and/or pretty, intelligent, and possessed of the finest sexual skills ever known to man ... or woman ... or ... what was that making all that noise in the Rivermoot barn the other night anyway?

No matter! JOIN this DM team, and become a GOD. Well, like, in a little virtual universe. But still, you'll be a GOD. Its like, not just a perk, but the actual job description. Pretty sweet, non? And you can regularly expect praise, flattery and flat-out, old-school butt-kissin' and brown-nosin'.

Things could be worse!

:)

Making that noise was a Banite ritual gotten out of hand.

Jayde, can you reduce your pic size a bit please?

We find ourselves in the dubiously exciting position of not having enough coverage to give the loads of players we have a good time. Come join us! It's fun and the more of us there are, the less work it is for each new DM. We'll train and watch over you.

Every new DM gets one free DM kill!

Why do you want to kill DM's? I'm more the total party wipe kind of guy myself.

Duck:

Thats no lie.

FIRST day of the Bright Blades quest, the 1st level PC group is tasked with bringing a suspected murderer to justice. They go to the crime scene and begin interrogating the 9th level tiefling priestess of Loviatar who runs the temple.

DM Duck: "I am going to drop a hammer of the gods on them."

DM Mikayla: What? Please don't it will kill them all.

DM Duck: Exactly.

DM Mikayla: But but but we just started.

DM Duck: But they're stupid.

DM Mikayla: but but but ...

Eventually Duck relented, but we came very close to having a 7-member party TPK'd in the first 20 minutes of a year long campaign.

DON'T LET DUCK NEAR THE KILL BUTTON!

*whips out pen* "Sign here, sir." *Notes that he has no fingers, only feathers. "Fine. Quack once to signify willingness to abide by standards, run character-oriented plots and meet your quota of PC kills per week."

Sure would be nice to have the Duck of Death back.
