Can someone give me a brief update on where things stand with servers and DM's?

What servers are live? Who are the DM's on the servers? (I had planned on playing where Rick was DMing... but that's obviously out now) Do I need to jump through any hoops (besides downloads and buying expansions) to jump in and play? Do I have to apply for the fourth time? (though it would be fun to be able to say my application was accepted on the first try on four different occasions).

It's obvious alfa hasn't lost its taste for drama... but I'm hoping it still stays out of the game like it has over most of the history of this place. Losing Rick does blunt my enthusiasm a bit... but Alfa has lost so many great DM's over the years due to stupid crap like this and still has been fairly fun to play. I'm willing to give it a shot as long as there are a decent number of DM's out there.

You are a member of ALFA and therefore you can play on our NWN2 server no problem at all.

We have one server live at the moment. It's set in The Silver Marches.

The DMs are listed here:

All you need as far as downloads is stated here:

Have fun playing.

Buy it from direct to drive and you won't need to keep a disc in your drive. ;)

I read that the D2D Motb version only works with a D2D orig NWN2 version. Isnt cross compatible with NWN2 Disc version. Keep that in mind.

No, I have the disc for the original version and D2D for the expansion and it works -- BUT -- if you plan on loading it on more than one computer (i.e. at home and laptop as I did) BEWARE because the constant "account authentication" issues made me go out and just by the MoTB disc. D2D support i have found to be next to useless as well.

Except D2D sucks balls and you shouldn't encourage them by giving them money. I have heard NWN2 is coming to Steam but I dunno if it's there yet.

I haven't had any problems whatsoever. Bought NWN2 and MotB from D2D. Heck, it even lets you redownload years later and saves your CD Key for you. Can't remember how many times I've read about someone losing their discs....
