Last Rites

A shy child, young Anten Bridgeway always had an affinity for animals and nature. If he wasn't splinting a broken wing he was stealing food for stray dogs that plague the merchant tents of Boarsekyr Bridge. A stray himself, if Anten had a family they never claimed him and the only adult he ever let get within fist range was Mother Greengage, the addled old druid of the settlement. She's the last one who remembers seeing him, too, before he scampered off with a rolled up blanket on his back last week, thanking her for something she can't quite recall. When she found his three-legged stoat and the orphaned, blind nestlings he was feeding all dead from lack of food one morning, she realized how long he had been gone and grew worried, but none of the mercenaries or merchants of the town care one bit about a lost orphan with no money or an old woman who feels responsible...without being able to remember why. Who will care, she wonders, muttering to herself as she watches the adventurers cross the great stone bridge. Who will help?

Please see the OAS2 Admissions forum thread What You Need to Log On for excellent instructions on downloading the Worldgate application that makes downloading the necessary haks and PWC a snap.

One day to go! Get the new PWC today by running Worldgate. I'm more than amenable to DMing a solo adventurer but more players welcome, too!

Last Rites: Part II

We leave our hero stranded on the moors, wounded near to death and far from aid. He has striven long and hard and encountered danger and death along the search. His job is not done, for he has not recovered the lost villager and he yet draws breath. As the sun rises on the carnage around him and he realizes he lives, he falls to his knees to give thanks...and because his legs won't hold him. He must continue searching, but at least as much time remains to that task as he has spent coming thus far. Will he encounter a companion on the trail or must he forge on by himself?

My first NWN2 DMed experience so far has been... ecstatic.

I strongly urge all who want to feel "alive" IC-wise to join, Wynna's DMing is solid gold, and the RP rocks. Feel free to join Daneir on his path tonight, for I doubt he can outlive the hardships of OAS2!

P.S. Wynna, if Daneir dies, I want a cairn too! ;)
