003 TSM Event: Prerequisite For Death

Post by Wynna »

Prerequisite for Death

Ah, the scholarly life. The rustle of pages, the scratch of quills, the soft chanting of apprentices learning their first cantrip...an exsanguinated corpse in the Scribery? The official explanation is a smudged circle of protection and a student trying a summoning spell beyond his abilities, but Master Scribe Lastima knows that the Masters of Silverymoon University think murder an unwanted discouragement to enrollment. She's been given her orders to let dead corpses lie and as a former soldier she always obeys a direct order. However, the Masters can't cast a Silence Spell on rumor and more than a few people have asked her why the young illusionist was conjuring at midnight at all and whether it was true the only blood remaining to him was what he had scrawled on the floor, the letters "P-r-o"?

Please see the OAS2 Admissions forum thread What You Need to Log On for excellent instructions on downloading the Worldgate application that makes downloading the necessary haks and PWC a snap.

That'll do just fine. Shoot me a PM with a brief description of your PC so I can have a plot hook ready. Thanks!

Relic, Runestaff and Curmudgeon (who PMed), welcome to the event! Those of you who haven't, please send me a character bio so I can prepare. Although the four slots are filled now, if others still want to sign up as alternates, there's usually somebody who can't make it on the night.

I killed HR's PC in the OAS2 event today and for that he wins a place in the Saturday night event. Suckers for punishment, all of you.

Be sure to download the PWC via Worldgate if you haven't since AL put up the new one with the Uni areas in it. It will take some time and we'll want to get right to the game on Saturday night.

This will likely end up being a meaningless post, but I just wanted to throw it out there that if I didn't have prior obligations on Saturday (namely, my wife's birthday), I would most definitely have signed up for this.

I suppose the moral of the story is it's the thought that counts, right?

Maybe next time.

A SPLENDOROUS PERFORMANCE OF HARMONIOUS ARTS

Fear not gentle music lover!! For though the Fochlucan remains yet closed for renovation, her arcane sister, our very own Lady's College, will play gracious host to a performance by local bardic talents tonight. Hi thee to the Lady Hall in the Great Library this eve for sonorous delights. Public welcome. Free entry.

Do not let recent unfortunate events cast a pall over your enjoyment; fear not that the Masters of Silverymoon University have not the matter in hand.
Enjoy the game

Check local time zones for proper start time, since I've realized it's Spring Forward today in the States. For those of you on Euro time, it starts at 1700 PST/2000 EST. Convert that to Euro time plus any daylight savings adjustment.

Well, our valiant band made it through alive, though with at least the paladin's pride dented by being taken down by an old woman. An armoire fell on one and stirges sucked the blood of several, but they left with all the lives they came with and a good time was had by all.

Thank you, gentlemen. I had a blast. I think I love DMing in NWN2. And our two hour adventure only stretched to five. Not bad, I think. Until next time!
