Hi all,
I need to run a party of 1st levels through a scripted area on the OAS2 (and practise my marvellous overacting) to test how everything is working. What I need is a party of 4 who can promise to play at a set time for about 1.5 - 2 hours. Loot! Rats! Spooky crypt business! How can you resist?

The really short notice slot is tomorrow (Tuesday) from 9pm GMT.
1. Hin
2. Wynna
3. stephenhamilton
4.
Saturday 10pm GMT
1. Dergon
2. Mulu
3. Runestaff
4. Joos

If you can help that's grand. Please download the pwc and get equipped before we start. I will edit this thread to show if there are spaces left free.

Many thanks,
Teric

I can be an alternate if interest is slightly lacking Teric. I'm good at no meta. :)

If that's 1pm PST, I can just do 1.5 hours tomorrow and would love to play on OAS again. Have I told you how gorgeous it is today, Teric?

From the OAS2 --What you need to log on thread:

Download and install the Worldgate Client.

How to use the world gate client:
Launch Worldgate from desktop icon.
Click "new".
A box will open. The only line you have to fill out is the top one - persistant world.
Type in "ALFA"
Then on the bottom of the screen click on the "from URL" button.
in the box that opens enter "www.alandfaraway.org"
Click "ok"
Then click "test and exit".

You are now ready to update ALFA files.
To get the files (or to update them) click the "check for new files"

Current PWC version:
http://www.alandfaraway.org/downloads/N ... 2_test.rar
.
(Worldgate is not up to date.)

I can get the Worldgate updated tonight for the OAS2 PWC, for those who have an older version and don't want to re-download the whole thing. Will post here when it's done (takes a while).

Worldgate host is now updated, both for the OAS2 PWC, and for the updated alfa_gui and alfa_2da haks (to work with the current 1.11 patch of NWN2, for builders and beta testers.)

So, you have the option- update the OAS2 PWC by direct download and replace, or just run the Worldgate and update your current one. (note: if you don't have any NWN2 haks for ALFA, worldgate will take longer than just downloading the OAS2 PWC- but it will get you the GUI to speak languages, so up to you).

Right, all is downloaded, and checked and is working. The OAS2 is now infested with a planetouched fireling, ready to burn down....

Joking.

Feng Marrowtooth, a most fierce tempered, vicous little hin is now part of the little town and equipped for a bit of fun on sunday morning.

Just a question, how come the armours are so vicously overpriced? 500 gold for a breastplate seems a bit on the high side, no? Got a helmet, chain shirt, shortsword, kukri and a light shield and all my gold is spent. Pretty ok for town prices maybe, but a starting merchant with unmodified prices would make sence I reckon.
