IWS has put down the PR pom poms to answer the call of the dark side and take up the PADM wand in Cormyr. Congrats to IWS and Cormyr for what's sure to be a mutually satisfactory exploration of creativity and mayhem, and thank you, IWS, for your time and efforts on PR.

Senor T has graciously accepted the role of ALFA PR Chief, humbling me in the process with the depth of marketing and demographic expertise he brings to the job. Expect to be researched, organized and polished to a honed public relations machine as he serves the vital purpose of presenting ALFA's message to the wider community in this run-up to NWN2 launch.

Welcome aboard, Senor T, and thank you.

My thanks to all previous PR staff members and LAs for laying the groundwork for where we are today. My task of promoting ALFA is made far easier by having a tremendous community to show people as well as a solid marketing foundation to build on.

As I see it, ALFA is its community, and as such, my job is basically to find the message inherent in everything going on here and make it an easy-to-understand message... then put that message in front of as many fellow nerds as possible. I very much hope there will be a consistent dialogue around everything that makes up tha ALFA message from as many corners of the community as possible.

I want to involve everyone in the message that is developed... my role will simply be the manager of that message. Basically all the documentation and boring (to most) parts of maintaining brand awareness.

As well, this is a busy season, and my acceptance of this role is based largely on my personal interest in it, not on my availability. For someone without kids, I'm amazed at how busy I manage to keep my RL.

Please give me feedback if you like, and I'll listen. Please check out the PR forum now and again if you're not too busy playing, and drop a post or PM if you have a thought. Please let me know if you've got any idea whatsoever. Please call me out if you hear me discounting an idea without proper consideration.

At the end of the day, ALFA's provided lots of great fun and memories for me. I only want to make as many others aware of the great thing we've got going on here. All I hope to accomplish is to put a tremendous product in a little bit of a nicer package and put that in front of as many people as possible.

To that end, I'll be posting specific goals and requests soon enough. I admit, I'm not an expert on the wider NWN community at all, but I know we all (especially myself) have a lot to learn from it. As well, we have a lot to learn from our own members.

Again, thanks to Wynna, IWS and everyone!

Play on,
T
