I'll post some at the end of this weekend. I've got a number of exteriors and interiors nearing completion.

Looking good. We're able to get water to run downhill?

It's dangerous to do it I've found, but Tani's Watermill plugin does do that, yes.

It's a briliant concept (paint down texture which is then replaced with water in her plugin), but it has led to area corruption in my experience. However, used cautiously, it can produce incredible results.

lol

Well that could be the last we see of those areas...I've had a triple whammy of bad luck in one day.

My module deleted itself utterly from my computer.

My backup file in rar form is corrupt and cannot be opened.

My online backup file is, not surprisingly, a copy of the corrupt rar file.

My most recent backup prior to my current is from 2 weeks ago, which doesn't include any of the dungeons....but that's no big deal...dungeons are fun to build and quite fast.

I've found all the deleted files (using UnDelete), but none of them load in the toolset, no matter what I try.

However, I'll plug away. Failing any serious progress, I'll start considering what to do for the next month. Will keep any progress updated.

damn shame.

Any suggestions to the rest of us what you could have done differently to avoid the situation? Also, major kudos man, I am also proud if I get a tower level done a day... do you still have your exteriors, cause those rock like hell?

I sympathize, utterly. As a minor attempt at looking on the bright side, after the second time I lost everything, my rebuild went much faster and smoother.
Enjoy the game

It's no drama.

It's probably 2 weeks work, but I don't feel like it's anything major. I usually take 2 or 3 stabs before getting something I like.

And time is on my side...work is slowing down for the year, I've got a 6 week break starting mid December, and I've discovered some very fast building techniques.

So I'll start again, expand the scale a little and instead of building Anauroch, I'll tackle the eastern region of the Silver Marches.

What I hope to do over the next year or two is sweep across the northern length of Faerun to meet up with Thans in the Moonsea. But I do feel like the eastern part of the Marches are worth doing before doing Anauroch.....in fact, it makes a lot more sense to see what 4e FR turns Anauroch into first.

So the screens can serve as a farewell to the desert, for now. Will make Rusty happy, you old pirate.

Man.. that sucks..

Toolset crashes suck ass!!

Remember kids.. Do as Uncle Thangy says and always save in module mode under a different file name every hour or so while building stuffs..

Folder mode may be slicker for hosting but you risk losing everything if you build like that.. :/

Every time you sneeze, burp or fart, better do a save. It is like a morning ritual, before you open your mod, change your underwear and socks and bow down before the toolset god "Before I build my mod too deep, here is my real life to keep. If the mod should corrupt and die, with this shotgun say goodbye ..."
