An alert concerning Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition.

Heya friends!
When I first purchased Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition (that's the all-in-one for NWN 1) from Amazon.com, it arrived in a plastic case (this is important later). The codes for all three games given inside the booklet were identical. I checked this several times; there was no mistake.
When I loaded NWN 1, it asked for the codes and I entered them. Once the game was loaded, it asked for the expansion codes again. I entered the codes as they were listed in the booklet.
The codes were rejected.
In other words, I couldn't play the game at all because the booklet lacked different codes for the expansions. I entered them over half a dozen times.
All I could do is watch the intro movie...
A good friend resolved that issue for me (thanks again, Legionnaire!) and I went on to play the game. I went on to purchase a second copy for my lady at Best Buy (a popular merchandise chain here in the United States). They had four copies of Diamond Edition in the racks.
I spoke with one of the employees in the computer department and told them about the problem I had at Amazon.com I asked if I could return the game if the codes in this copy were identical. He stated that Best Buy considers that to be a manufacturer defect and that I could have another copy or get a refund if this copy had that problem.
I opened up the copy outside in my vehicle and sure enough, the codes weren't different. This copy was useless.
I returned the copy and they allowed me to take another off of the shelf. The employee at the Returns/Exchanges counter opened this one and it too, had identical codes. He was frustrated, but I saw a bit of hope - One of the four copies of Diamond was not plastic-encased but instead in a cardboard case. I had him open this one (while he tossed the last plastic-cased copy aside) and lo and behold! The codes were different! This copy is playable! Yahoo!
If you're purchasing Diamond for yourself or a friend, buy it in-person (where returning it will be easy), and go for the cardboard copies if they have them. If they only offer the plastic copies, check the booklet before you leave lest you get stuck with a useless copy of this wonderful and super-fun game.
Honor and fun,
Little Cub
