Obviously the people who did make this do know more. ;)

As they have dm experience, with the help of the HDM, they've had the experience of eyeballs going out of their heads when characters come into a server from another, bearing an extreme ammassed fortune. Having these standards prevents such overwealth from occuring by certain dms, and ensures that, by level, each PC has at least a minimum range of wealth...it levels out the playing field of the PC's in ALFA. I can think of a few instances where a not too much higher level character had uber gear, and played the bully...while others of slightly less or equal level sat around with practically nothing to their name. Granted, I agree wholeheartedly that rp is the focus of alfa, not wealth....but when the rp reflects wealth and the ability to get away with things...well, then there is a slight problem. I applaud the attempt, hopefully the training will lead to a more cohesive dm unit worldwise.... I see no reason to let players know the what where and why..though it is good to have a transparent policy. If you don't dm, then there should be no concern over it. Most likely any over the limit won't be punished...they will simply begin recieving fewer and fewer rewards until such time as they are at an acceptable limit again.

<Castano>: danielnm - can you blame them?
<danielmn>: Yes,
<danielmn>: Easily.
