AK, thanks for stepping up; I'm a little (but not terribly) surprised at the results. I'd recommend the best response at this point is simply accept the results graciously, more or less, and move on, not fall into a bitter tirade regardless of how sound or unsound your reasons may be for doing so. Run again next chance if you're still inclined to do so.

Even now, it seems game B can generate more heat/interest than the actual game itself.

Define "response"? And "the game"?Ithildur wrote:Even now, it seems game B can often generate more of a response than the actual game itself.
I bet that Foam and I have put more into the SRD5 project than the combined attention and effort that everyone put into this election over the same timespan. Twice as many people have played this month than have participated in the election this month. There's an uptick in forum activity, yeah, but we've had a unique thing happen-- I'm pretty sure this is the first time we've had a vote of confidence fail, and now we tread the fun fun ground of 'implied rules.' I'd be suspicious if this didn't prompt the standard week or two of chatter before settling from "mostly people playing" to "overwhelmingly just the game."

I know we've had disagreements in the past, AK, but I do want to say thank you for stepping up an showing an interest in putting energy into ALFA. We need more people to show that kind of initiative.
